Ah LadyOfWaffle, you have added all the ones I forgot the first time round

I shall also add Ab Fab.

I did get rather hooked on Northern Exposure for a while as well... then went off it towards the end.

MASH
West Wing
Buffy
Gilmore Girls

In that order but I can't watch the MASH re-runs on TV because they have the audience laughter track which really spoils the show for me.

sis · 19/06/2009 11:34

Can I just point out that I did type in the '*' after the M in my post below but the MN system has eaten it up and changed the rest of it into bold type!

Poledra · 19/06/2009 12:20

That's why I gave up on the '*', sis! We gradually buying up the box sets, as you can turn off the laugh track on those.

sis · 19/06/2009 14:01

Sorry Poledra, I missed your mention of MASH earlier in the thread - I am a bit stunned that it hasn't had more mentions. I will look into the DVDs as, just the other cnight, DH was asking what I wanted for my birthday.

ThePhantomPlopper · 19/06/2009 14:10

Grey's Anatomy.

simonec · 19/06/2009 15:25

The Big Bang Theory

Being Human

Firefly

and the Gilmour Girls!

beanybee · 19/06/2009 19:03

Great thread! For me it has to be:
Alias
Dexter (is it wrong to fancy a serial killer?!)
Rome
30 Rock
Arrested Development
Damages
and I've got Carnivale on DVD ready to watch, heard it's supposed to be amazing...

vjg13 · 19/06/2009 19:11

The Wire by a mile!

Carnivale is good, beanybee but VERY SLOW moving. Beautifully shot and atmospheric.

scottishmummy · 19/06/2009 19:15

Er

danceswithelves · 19/06/2009 20:56

Great thread! (I'm a first time poster, having being lured out of lurkdom by this)
All time: Buffy
Plus: Twin Peaks, Battlestar Galactica (remake), West Wing, Sopranos, My So Called Life, Dexter, Firefly, Police Squad and the list goes on...

beanybee · 20/06/2009 07:55

Ooo I shall look forward to Carnivale then vjg13. At 11 wks and shattered I am spending a lot of time in bed watching TV....

DownyEmerald · 20/06/2009 18:06

Northern Exposure
Thirtysomething
My so called life
West Wing

and that mad hospital thing with Julian Rhind-Tutt - Green Wing? Debbie out of the Archers (can't remember her real name sorry) is fantastic in that.

And there was a fantastic thing about China about 15-20 years ago? documentary series... Beyond the Clouds that it. Could watch that forever.

aristocat · 20/06/2009 19:40

jubee · 22/06/2009 11:28

Have Dexter this series sky + series link. Havent watched any yet, just waiting for a few hours by myself to watch them. Love any CSI, Casualty, Greys Anatomy. Gutted that Ashes to Ashes has finished, secretly fancied Gene Hunt - does anyone else think the same or am I a bit mad!!

jubee · 22/06/2009 11:29

Aristocrat. Yes have seen Fringe and love it. Its a bit different to the usual repeated dross on TV. I really enjoyed it. It also has Pacey from Dawsons Crekk in it - which can only be a good thing.!!!
