Yes, and he buried her in the forest with her two hamsters in a weird Anglo-Saxon ritual which he had resurrected, but updating the details doesn't really work. The hamster dug their way out and made friends with a crow and a bluebell and can be seen alternately piloting large birds through the air and playing dominoes with plants.
