I love it too! Have seen all of S2 through nefarious means, but plan to rewatch due to its excellence. So glad it's been recommissioned!

dizzydixies · 27/05/2009 21:05

SHayer I heard that series 2 is supposed to be just as good but its all mixed up a bit - can't wait!

Really enjoyed season 1. Good mix of comedy & action. Saw trailer for season 2 last night but disappointed "coming soon" which left me shouting "but when?!" With BSG & Heroes finished (tho latter disappointing series) and ER about to end forever am needing something new. Tried Dollhouse but the fact they have personality implants rather than own means generally bit flat. Roll on new series.

nct73, the new house series is coming too if that helps you any?

you sound like you have similar viewing taste to us, have you ever watched Fringe? we're enjoying that too

Lost interest in House when all original assistants left and became really repetitive to me - odd case, House tries lots of things which generally make patient worse but then ping solution, all ok after a bit of fighting with admin lady. Friend has naughty copy of Fringe for us to catch up with. Finally borrowed Season 3 My name is Earl on DVD, also Pushing Daisies. Need to order 30 Rock season 2 as Five kept messing about with time of saturday repeat and was already recording something on fridays so lost track.

Have just started watching Burn Notice which a friend got from Amazon but is US version as not sure if shown at all in UK. Like Chuck, it has good blend of action & comedy plus Bruce Campbell in supporting cast. see below:

Synopsis
When intelligence agencies need to dispense with one of their spies they serve a burn notice. A burn notice informs other agencies that the spy has become unreliable, effectively ending his or her career. BURN NOTICE follows Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan), whose intelligence career comes to an abrupt halt after a botched job in Nigeria. Westen returns home to Miami, Florida, only to discover that he has been cut off from all his contacts in the agency and his bank account has been frozen. Without a penny to his name, Westen decides to work as an unlicensed private investigator, using the money he makes to launch his own investigation into his fate with the intelligence agency. Westen's new career presents him with plenty of opportunities to delve into Miami's seedy underbelly, with drug dealers, gunrunners, prostitution rings, and gangsters all coming under his watchful eye.

Earl is comedy genius but was disappointed with second series, series 3 seems to have redeemed itself

Pushing Daises annoyed me, am not sure if it was the programme or whats her name

shall keep an eye out for Burn Notice, sounds like our kind of thing too - we've started recording Lie to Me to watch on Sky + as it looked good too

DollHouse completely passed me by, was it any good?

Catch up with Season 1 of Chuck only a tenner on Amazon BARGAIN!

dizzydixies - DP wont watch Pushing Daisies as finds annoying so will be good to keep me amused during 3am feeds as about to have DC2. Dollhouse has just started. A bit disappointing but may give it a couple more eps to see. Spotted Lie to Me but had missed first couple eps. Worth checking out? Start now or wait for reruns/DVD?

dizzydixies · 28/05/2009 14:28

nct73 - I know what you mean, have never before been so interested in the Olympics but it was perfectly timed for the arrival of DD3!!

might click on Doll house to tape then, haven't started watching Lie to Me so not sure yet although the promos look good!
