Probably been done before, but anyhoo -

I hate that volvic challenge advert. 'Volcanic goodness' - it's water for chrissakes.
And that advert for 'chicken' bites where the guy appears to transform into the cowardly lion.

NB this does not negate the fact that I despise all adverts. These ones are just particularly high on my list!!

How about that ad where the little boy is sitting on the loo (really, do we want to see that?) and he makes a smell and shouts to his mother that the air freshener doesn't work. That ad is loathesome too.

zanz1bar · 13/05/2009 21:33

Anyone feel Bloooooooated?
or just sick of the ad

Sidge · 13/05/2009 21:45

I hate the one with the dancing bloke on crutches. What on earth is that about?

And any advert for an anti-ageing product, with a model that's not a day over 15.

Kayteee · 13/05/2009 22:01

Iggy Pop selling car insurance......wrinkly ol' twat.

CherryChoc · 13/05/2009 22:04

My sister and I noticed that in the original activia adverts, the comments from the people, not one of them said it worked! They just made vague comments about how it tasted creamy and how they felt bloated.

I think the vagueness and not actually saying the yoghurt thing works is still there in the newer ads but it's not as much.

AngeChica · 13/05/2009 22:12

This article has stuck in my mind for a couple of years now, exploding, as it were, the myths of "bifidus digestivum" and suchlike.

CherryChoc · 13/05/2009 23:04

It's like that immunofortis bollocks. They just make up names for things to make them sound beneficial. And you assume that if they mention something on the ad, it must be good, right, or why would they mention it?

BitOfFun · 13/05/2009 23:07

I hate the "autoerotic" robots advertising couches...

GothAnneGeddes · 14/05/2009 11:38

Any Special K advert, but especially the one where the women make the most ridiculous facial expressions while trying to avoid breakfast.

Agree with the Malteasers ad. Malteasers are chocolate of joy and wonder and should not be targeted at calorie counters who are surely unable to eat them as they should be eaten: by the handful.

The KA one, as the song does my head in.

PenelopePitstops · 14/05/2009 11:53

that poo at pauls ohuse gets me everytime, I have a hissy fit at the tv!

Theres so many crap adverts!

go compare and confused.com deserve to be shot!

Nancy66 · 14/05/2009 13:12

that one with Nell McAndrew about bloated women - where she looks and sounds like some camp old man.

KingRolo · 14/05/2009 13:22

The ones for online bingo you get during the day (esp. during Jermey Kyle). They portray it as a lively, fun and sociable hobby when really it is online GAMBLING and likely to make you very skint indeed.

I'm sure I saw one the other day for something called Classy Bingo? Can bingo ever be described as classy?

Tigerbear · 14/05/2009 13:30

Those Keeley Hawes magazine adverts for N07 cosmetics, face serum, etc - on some of them, her hair looks like it's been cut out and stuck back on the page - most bizarre - proper helmet head style!

ouchitreallyhurts · 14/05/2009 18:17

chickens riding a quad bike to show how 'happy and free range' they are.

warthog · 14/05/2009 18:19

BT advert with man and woman who are clearly not getting on. her kids hate him.

but NOW ooooooh they're ENGAGED! oh we're all so wobbly lipped about it - isn't it wonderful??

bleueeughghghg

KingRolo · 14/05/2009 18:26

I detest that advert for The Sun where it shows people of all walks of life reading a gigantic copy of the paper in a sunny park. It's so desperately trying to say 'look, we are the paper of the people' when it so clearly is not.

GonetodoapooatPauls · 14/05/2009 18:32

I used to hate the picture adverts not been on for ages though .

Any advert aimed at weight loss why oh why is it always women that want to lose weight don't men need to too?

Bingo adverts.

Shreddies knitted by Nannies ewww .

MarkStretch · 14/05/2009 18:36

Everyone in my house is banned from singing the 118 247 tune.

It does my head in.

gibbberish · 14/05/2009 18:38

Don't know what the heck it is advertising but hate the one where a glam and perfectly acceptable woman walks into some 'event'. Two bitches give her the evil eye and shake their heads in disgust because she had committed the terrible crime of putting her hair up . So she lets her hair down and rearranges her top for an off the shoulder look and lo and behold she is acceptable to old hags who smile and nod approvingly.

WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT??????

Also hated the Chanel ad with pigmentless Nickers Kidman.

dazmum · 14/05/2009 19:00

I agree that the 'poo at Paul's house' is the worst at the moment, I also hate the one with Iggy Pop in it because he's a bit creepy I think.

All of the ones that talk about 'fine lines and wrinkles' on age 20 something models who don't have any and won't for years.

All the Andi MacDowell adverts, especially the one where she is making a frown line appear.

The shouty Cillit Bang man, although I think he might have calmed down a bit!

spenthen · 14/05/2009 19:42

Not exactly one I hate, but has anyone else noticed in the Cow and Gate Complete (or something) advert, the one with a sequence of babies giggling in highchairs because they are free from all forms of infectious disease owing to their regular consumption of this miracle formula, that the second baby is in fact Roy Kinnear??? That's what happened to him, he didn't die, he just started ageing backwards to the point that he is now young enough to appear in baby milk adverts.

Or maybe it's just me.....

krugerparkrules · 14/05/2009 19:50

DFS

Yeah we bloody know you're having a sale .... AGAIN!

nannyogg · 15/05/2009 08:49

the new vanish advert where the kid, showing off, tries to toss a pizza, it lands on him and then falls to the floor. Mum smiles, shakes her head and says "oh, how are we going to get this out?"

The little fecker just threw a whole pizza on the floor, tonight's tea - ruined.

Then he has the audacity to say "can we have lasagne instead mum?" If it was me it'd be cold floor pizza or nothing.

LaundryFairy · 15/05/2009 09:08

Davina McColl announcing "Wrinkles? Not for me!"

I just want to scream at her 'you deluded woman, do you really think you can halt the march of time?'

cuppateaplease · 15/05/2009 09:44

can't stand the 118 118 blokes - would never use this number because of the adverts.

Also can't understand the one where there are loads of tvs moving which then morph into a car.

Anything with that Winner(?) bloke in - esure is it?
