I know I will probably be slated for liking this, but find it hilarious (although slightly scared my ds may turn out like this - eek!)
I just wondered if I was alone in my thinking ...

I've not seen it but DH loves it.

CarGirl · 18/04/2009 14:16

Yes we've watched the first series and this one!

likessleep · 18/04/2009 14:19

do you sometimes find it slightly difficult to watch? i am slightly 'eek' about it, but do find it really funny, as though i am a bit put off by myself finding it funny.
i do think this series is much funnier than last.
are teenage boys really like that?

I think it's funny but it's sooooo written by people of my age, unlike Skins which is obviously written by people a generation younger.

I think I find inbetweeners funny because it's more like the school life I remember. I love Skins too but it has no resemblance to my school years. Either things were different then or I just didn't know how to party

likessleep · 18/04/2009 14:23

i haven't seen skins, maybe i should watch that.
maybe the whole nostalgia is why i find it funny too. i did ask dh which of the four he was most like!

OP posts:
beanieb · 18/04/2009 14:24

and which one was he ?

likessleep · 18/04/2009 14:26

he reckoned the one with the spiky hair, i.e. the most normal one!

... then i got to think which one would i have gone for years ago?....

stroppyknickers · 18/04/2009 14:28

I love this! Watched the fiirst series and kept begging people to watch it so I could talk about it with them hooray for mumsnet!

likessleep · 18/04/2009 14:30

so tell me, which of the boys did you go for in school!?
the thick one
the rude one
the nerd
the normal one

OP posts:
likessleep · 18/04/2009 14:31

rude i meant dirty

me and dp love it! i watched previous series but dp hadnt so we had an inbetweeners marathon on 4oD before new series started and i got him hooked :P

hilarious! and so true in an exagerated way!

GothAnneGeddes · 20/04/2009 02:30

Love it! Far more realistic then Skins, which is far more idealised vision of teenagerhood.

KingRolo · 20/04/2009 10:16

It's brilliant! Not many TV comedies can get me laughing out loud but this one does.

mayorquimby · 20/04/2009 14:48

it's spot on.
it's written as an anti-thesis to skins/the oc/one tree hill which are so far detatched from reality it's pathetic even though they can still be enjoyable.
lets be honest when your 116/17 you don't spend every wednesday night off your tits on pills in the best nightclub, living in your own apartment and never having to explain your actions or life to your parents.
