...and think that it is probably a bit shit?

How come he could deduce every aspect of that woman's psycholgy right down to the colour of her pants but could predict that she would go ballistic and shoot her husband when The Mentalist(pmsl) exposes him as the sex-abusing killer of their daughter?...I mean, it's not exactly professional is it? Oh wait, he's a maverick [yawn], and they don't seem to 'do' disciplinary action stateside...

And later, when we find out that the serial killer offed his own wife and daughter in an horrific bloodbath? And nobody thinks there is a coflict of interest for him to BE ON THE INVESTIGATING TEAM?

Bonkers.

I really wanted to like it aswell - should I give it another go next week? The actor is quite tasty.

Jonesthesteam - thank you so much!!!! I knew it was something where he was being a seducer but couldn't remember what film. Yipee...

slayerette · 03/04/2009 17:20

Well, it is rubbish - note he didn't really have a clue who the killers were last night (and as an aside why the hell were they both kidnapping redheads - another plot device that the writers couldn't be arsed to explain...) but my, he is easy on the eye!

TheSynOddOneOfWhitby · 03/04/2009 17:32

Can anyone answer me a question? How come he asked the assistant to look for a motel room that had been prepaid in cash for one night then later on he said the room they were in waiting for the murderer was booked out for three months .

coppertop · 03/04/2009 18:02

When he was asking the motel manager about why there were crisps on the table she said it was because when someone rents out the room on a monthly basis it only gets cleaned every 3 days. That's when he realised that the room must have been booked for at least a month.

Or something...

slayerette · 04/04/2009 17:13

Yes, but - Synod is right - either the room was booked for one night and pre-paid cash or it was booked for the month. But it switched from one to the other to suit the plot!

JacquelineBouvier · 04/04/2009 18:49

I think the point was that he didn't know who the killer was just that he would be coming back to that hotel room.

i thought it was the policeman!

Loved the bit where he hypnotises the arsey girl. he can hypnotise me anytime! [bawdy grin]
