I do. I really do. Every time I hear those whiny accents going on and on about some crisis or another I just long for someone to blow up Albert Square. Is anyone happy there for more than 5 mins?

Sorry.

Unreasonable whinge due to DH being addicted to the damn thing and I can hear it even when I'm not in the room.....

I totally hate that East Enders,When are they going to take it off the television? Enough is Enough. It is the most depressing programme. Was good in its earlier years but awful now.Whats the matter with television.Eastenders Coronation street Emerdale. GET RID OF THEM.The characters are so depressing they make you feel sucidal. You are not addressing any issues you are just making people more and more depressed. I hope this is taken off soon.

I'm a fan , but I admit it's boring now and if I miss it I'm not rushing to catch up. Unheard of even a few weeks ago.
I love our mumsnet no spoiler EE thread though : it is funny and the people on it are great!
Maybe it will pick up once they can start filming again : there will be a break eventually I suppose.

I know this thread started 11 years ago Grin but I'll bite !

I was trying to explain to my family and DH family that darn Sarf :(I'm a few miles from the mythical E20 . It was a cross between Walthamstow and Ilford = Walford
we don't all hide our kiddies in the cupboard,
don't marry get pg by/shack up with our neighbours
we do actually leave our PostCode to go to work, E20 having a Tube would have people trekking off to the City
we go to supermarkets not just the local Minut Mart
we don't buy our clothes off the market for a night out
we don't walk through our perfectly adequate kitchens passed our kettles to buy a mug of stewed cafe tea (that we don't drink) Dito a pub meal or cafe meal
we're not all owning our own businesses in the Square . I think only Bradley Branning was the only one who commuted , then Max and Lauren when she met Josh

Mel (after having bonked most of the Squares males) rolled up with Gasp A New Man......who turned out to be Roy Evans estranged son.
Then husband Ray ...who was distantly related to Ciara and Aiden..who was Phils ex cell mate

We don't shack up with our partner's sibling (or Mum) .

Apart from that , it's cool !

Hi 70s! Yep, I'm essex born and bred and it's now known as ' east London' !
My childhood was nothing like it's portrayed on EE! We did used to go to Romford market on a Saturday sometimes!
