Now as a Catholic I am not wanting so say we are entirely innocent and I am sure you can find a Catholic crackpot. But I am in shock that Ian Paisley could stand up and shout anti Christ at the pope and then continue to think the same today.

My dd has just come down from her bath ( I know crap mum she should be in bed) and is very upset. How do you explain something like that to a 7 year old?

I cannot bear to watch the man. He recruited more into the IRA than anything else.
I met his son as a student and his anti-Catholic message was as bad. I was sick to my stomach after the lecture.
Both of them are twisted individuals who have more blood on their hands than I want to think about. Such hate only comes from very bad souls.

It shocked me to the core to see that clip as well as the hate mail that Anne Widdicombe got for being a catholic.

I'm a Catholic, although not practising, but it burned to hear the words from Paisley junior - and the Orangemen.
The hatred was palpable when I was in NI, the sheer hatred for strangers. It scared the hell out of me. Turn it off or you'll dream about it...

I only caught the last few minutes, I teach RE so really wanted to watch this series.
