my baby was a MAJOR hiccuper. She was even hiccupping during labour!

MumOnaMission · 07/04/2005 22:35

oh bugger. just got here. anyone know if this is repeated. dd has been asking how babies are made so maybe a good thing for her to watch?

tiffini · 07/04/2005 22:37

i missed it to DAMN hope it is repeated.

ThomCat · 07/04/2005 22:39

I was going to say the same thing about the DVD, I'd buy it tomorrow.

I used to sing 'Hush little baby don't say a word, mama's gonna buy you a mocking bird' to lottie all the time when I was pregnant and at 3 yrs old it still really soothes and calms her, it's mad. Always guaranteed to send her to sllep or stop her in her tracks if she's upset

Just went onto the C4 website but there is a problem with the life before birth page. Will tell you on there if it's repeated (when it's fixed that is!!)

RTMTMML · 07/04/2005 22:48

I was watching ER and missed the twins . I do hope this comes out on DVD. What an amazing thing to have.

Wow!

JoolsToo · 07/04/2005 22:49

how was parents eveing?

RTMTMML · 07/04/2005 22:53

He's a very bright boy who could easily produce better work than he does (his work is VERY good), but he seems to think it more important to be the class clown. He's well liked by his teachers and peers.

He was always the clever one at primary school and so as not to be seen as the class swot he became the class clown. So, a few old habits to unlearn.

Very positive. I tell you what though, it's like speed dating. You get 5 mins with the teacher then it's all change around. Blimey, could barely catch my breath.

Thanks for asking!

well done Marsboy!

never been speed dating - you obviously have

always nice when they say good things!

ds2 got 'like by teachers and pupils alike' in his record of achievement when he left - I rather liked that [proud emoticon]

apologies for hijack ...

RTMTMML · 07/04/2005 22:58

never been speed dating was already married with kids when that happened. lol

back to thread

Watching this birth is amazing. I have only ever seen one in RL.

MamanFlo · 07/04/2005 22:59

the delivery is rather traumatic...and I am the one who has spent hours watching discovery health !!! I've never seen it so close...

MamanFlo · 07/04/2005 23:04

BTW I highly recommend Spellbound next week. Excellent documentary.

MumOnaMission · 07/04/2005 23:10

what's s4c?

LGJ · 07/04/2005 23:11

I have to confess, I flicked.

Found it upsetting that my 8 week M/C had so much presence, knew it had, just didn't need to see it.

And ergo any one who miscarried at all.

And that arty, farty, poetry, bolllox, two hour programme, probably could have been an hour and half with cold hard facts, which is all I wanted.

But, it must be said wonderful cinematography.

SaintGeorge · 07/04/2005 23:13

I think S4C is Channel 4, scottish regions.

Could be wrong.

WestCountryLass · 07/04/2005 23:13

S4C is Welsh Channel 4.

I didn't think the delivery was traumatic, quite straight forward and a lovely birth experience, though did LOL when the Mum said 'thank God for that' as the shoulders came out

SaintGeorge · 07/04/2005 23:14

There you go - knew it was somewhere over a border

WestCountryLass · 07/04/2005 23:19

I only know that cos when I was growing up that was all we had after midnight when the late films ended on the BBC channels, subtitles in English dubbed Welsh channel.

TwoIfBySea · 07/04/2005 23:23

LGJ I had an ectopic at 8 weeks but knew anyway what it would have been like as I had an early scan the next time, with dst. At 8 weeks it was like watching 2 tadpoles, actually reminded me of little spacemen with their big heads. That made the first baby seem more of a loss.

Anyway, I loved this programme, just didn't listen to the daft poem bits. No wonder dst kicked a lot, all cramped in like that! Loved seeing the babies smile and frown etc. Making me broody!

SPARKLER1 · 07/04/2005 23:25

That programme was amazing - only caught the last 30 mins though but am feeling extremely broody now. That's not a good thing. I told dh to come and have a look at programme (he was in another room on the computer), he came in for two seconds and walked back out again. He doesn't want any more kids.

LGJ · 07/04/2005 23:33

Hey Sparkler1

Your DH and my DH were seperated at birth

He was Ok until Roger Mc started then the PC, started calling.

Only got back on here by telling him about the golf.
