I am sat watching with dh and dd1 (10), who has asked for dh to turn over as it is too scary. I don't like it and think it should be on much later in the evening, dd2 (4) would be petrified if she saw this.

ds1 (11) wanted to start watching this and I vetoed it; I didn't like the look of it at all. Especially not for ds2 (9) who is quite sensitive.

We don't watch much tv at all, but if they get into something then we do watch it every week (eg Dr Who, Primeval, etc.) I didn't think this sounded worthy of that honour.

Reading the comments so far, it sounds like a judged right.

I have given up and am watching Buffy on DVD!

Didn't hate it. Agree no where near Buffy, but will tune in again next week.

Not sure why American accent required unless it's to sell it to a USA audience later??

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. This looked sooo promising, but has only succeeded in ever so slightly missing every single point.

Philip Glenister? Bad and unnecessary accent. Boy and girl leads, not quite there either and both seem to have been cast for apparent looks. He badly needs a haircut and the Ruby character is just so all round dreadful I was praying she was going to be offed in the first episode. No such luck. I did like the blind girl though, but again, what a gimick.

ROFL Slayerette, I'd missed the Rupert, Library & vampire slayer connection (doh!). Let's just throw in the ignorant mother, oh and I read in the paper that the blind girl is half vampire. . Did they miss anything there?! Well, nothing apart from Buffy et al of course. I hope they're paying royalties.

We taped it and watched it later - thank god we did. Ds who is 7 loves dr who and even saw abit of primevil, but this was too scary to be on at 7.30pm. Outragious, I bet there were a few nightmares last night!
