Anyone else getting desensitised by the number of deaths in Hollyoaks?

After watching Hollyoaks all last week it occurred to me that I didn't give a toss about who might die in the big Crazy Niall storyline. Maybe except for Niall himself, who I quite like and maybe Jackie. When it was Tina who died I just thought 'Oh' and nothing more.

I think because there are soooooooo many deaths in Hollyoaks I have become completely desensitised to them, and they don't have the same impact anymore. It used to be a big deal when characters in tv shows or soaps died but now its just run of the mill. Just wondering if any of you agree?

i agree, they don't seem to be able to let characters just 'leave'- how many explosions have there been in that little village over the years!!

That said, i love Hollyoaks, but it does get a bit much, especially when you consider the ages of the characters-not like 80 year olds dying of natural causes.

It would be interesting to do a tally of how may of the cast have been killed off- there have been 3 in just the past few weeks!

I also like Hollyoaks but it is getting a bit ridiculous now. Like you say, there has been 3 actual deaths in a short space of time and also one fake death too! : )

I watched Coronation Street recently for the first time in ages and was actually moved by Liam dying more than any of the Hollyoaks lot, and I watch Hollyoaks well more than Corrie.

Plus, in Hollyoaks someone dies and then everyone just gets on with things like nothing has happened. Its getting daft!

it's getting silly, I don't know why they can't just leave instead of dying. I guess they want it to be very final that that person has gone and it creates drama about how they die, and how others react.

But remember when max's dad died and he came back as a ghost for ages!

i forgot about the fake death-and i suppose Malachys dad makes it 4 dead!
