I really don't

have watched it a few times now

it seems fairly weak to me

what's all the hoo-ha?

I don't get how they will spin it out into multiple series, as once we know mary alice's secret, surely thats it? really liked the first 2 episodes, now find it rather tedious, but have to carry on watching it, rather like EE

feel the same milge, loved the first 2 episodes but having watched it last night, along with Corrie which is getting rather heavy found myself really glad to be watching Men Behaving Badly as it was fun!! Desperate Housewives is not real life and tbh don't feel can relate to their lifestyles..will probably watch some more though just to get the bottom of why she did it!!

I'm addicted! I love Lynette and relate to her way too much (even though I only have one baby).

I did like the comparison to Malcolm in the Middle... love that too!

I watched it the first week and defended it on here the next day, but it is total rubbish.

I would probably watch it if it was on earlier, but by 10.15 I start to resent the fact that isn't over until 11.00.

I love my sleep and as I said on another thread,my last thought before I drop is if I go to sleep nowwwwwwwwww....how many hours will I get

I love it,which is a bit odd I suppose because I don't really watch much TV.I've never watched any soaps/footballers Wives type of programme,but am addicted to Desperate Housewives.

In fact,that & Shameless are the only things I watch on TV now The Sopranos has finished.

Reasons I like it in no significant order!!

It is very funny.. in a 'barbed' way iykwim.

It is the first prog I have known that has made the experiences of motherhood (Lynette) identifiable... ie it aint always that great.

They are are all very nice to look at (as are there houses!!)

and whatsaname.. who is Terri Hatcher, is just Sooo funny...

it is quirky, and nicely filmed...

so a few of my reasons why I like it.

From a purely bitchy point of view... I love the fact that Teri Hatcher's body is ok, but her face really hasn't aged well!!!

Gives the rest of the world hope!!!

well I thought i'd give it a go as my friend had been raving about it, so after one viewing I had to watch the second episode cos it was left on a cliff hanger, althou it seems to me that everyone's having affairs with each other!

Re. Terri Hatcher's aging. . .it's having a child and being a SAHM for a few years. . .that'd age anyone (it certainly did me!)

Twig, I, too, don't know what the hype is about. People keep raving about the writing, but it seems obvious and not that smart to me. I saw the episode with the gambling mother-in-law who gave her daughter-in-law no space to carry on her affair with the teenage boy. In the same episode, there was the school play committee subplot. I really thought that both plots rose straight out of bad US situation comedy. Whereas Sex & The City never seemed that obvious to me; the writing there seemed truly witty, fresh and intelligent. Same for Buffy.

fp - were they doing another tru calling? I liked that series,

teri hatcher has had some work done on her face that's why she looks odd. There's something weird about her nose, its off centre. I thought it was just me who had noticed but then I read it in the papers (so it must be true !)

I'm going ot be fixated with looking at her nose now... like the girl from The Craft who has one nostril much bigger than the other!
