yep. alistair will cock something up again, not use his pea brain to think laterally and will never get common sense or resourcefulness or the proper attitude to a) make suppliers want to work with you b) make clients want to come back and patronise you.

What a great programme! I just love that french accent!

Agree v.posh ladys blouse was hideous but thought Steve dealt with her very well. Really pleased that at last they were getting good remarks for the food.

James and Ali - how did they get through again? running out of wine, being late, getting the hosts to help set up? the list goes on!

I must admit I felt a bit sorry for Pete. He seems a bit downtrodden and did you notice she didn't say much at all.I bet he got a ear bashing once the cameras were off.

Can't wait until next time

I had to watch biys of this from behind a cushion, it was embarrassing to sit through.

The thing is, I can't see an outright winner, they all have somehting wrong, if you could split the couples up - James' food and Helen's other half's front of house skills would be a winner.

OMG I have just watched this - car crash is spot on! Did feel Tim was a bit 'unhelpful' and could have done more to help Pete (I know he needs to run his own kitchen and all but when they were having the pudding crisis he just stood back - deliberate? ). Thought Jas and Ali got through on sheer charma dn if they had had Mrs Spencer she would have MURDERED them!

How were the 'extras' picked? Did I miss that? Interesting the two 'weakest' chefs had the spare chefs and the weakest FoH had the FoHs....

It didn't show that and I thought it was a bit unfair that one had two helpers and the others only had one.

What will they do next week when there are three challenge couples and only two helpers?

Mrs Spencer was priceless, I was very glad that she liked the food as I really felt that they had the hardest challenge

ds1 and I adore watching the restuarant together. Bit sad Raymond has stopped urging people to fart for their restaurant though...

I think Nel and her dh pulled a blinder - mrs Spencer was fricking terrifying...Perhaps they got her sozzled as she definitely seemed to chill more by the end of the dinner party!

I was almost diappointed at how Jas and Ali managed to pull it togehter after such a cringeworty distater-waiting-to-happen start. But that FOH girl needed a slap for the way she approached the Father to ask for more wine. She's so annoying.

I never forgave Wrlsh Wok couople for not calling their restaurant Red Dragon (would have been so ideal for both Welsh and Chinese aspect and the resturant had a dragon on the door) Tjhough did giglgle when he said ''Wok and roll!'' at one point

Re james and ali closet gayness (or not) - I started off thinking taht they were either closet gays or were in denial about it - now have revised my view to SilkCut's - i.e. that Alistair is in luurve with James (but perhaps doesn't really realise it) but James is straight. Whatever, they ahve a vvv odd co-dependent relationship - James basically uses Ali as a whipping boy, not really sure what he gets out of it except someone to bully. Thought it was classic when Ali practically had a nervous breakdown waiting for James - but also typically stoopid decision to send the chef just before they were due to start....

oops, I guess I am thinking about his far too much!!
