Is Alistair in love with James the chef? He kept looking at him lovingly last night and patting his leg?

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 09/10/2008 09:58

of course they're in love

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 09/10/2008 10:01

vile, vile customer at True Provenance - think he was just playing up for cameras, but shame on his pathetic companions - there is no need for such behaviour. I was deeply ashamed because I used to live v close to that restaurant and would hate to think of that man being a Brentfordian - didn't recognise him. Lindsay seemed to be touting for business on Chiswick High Rd which isn't really that near the restaurant - perhaps they thought Brentford High St was a bit too scabby.

cupsoftea · 09/10/2008 10:03

All the contestants are complete rubbish - how did they choose such stupid & inept people? Every week I watch this & think surely there must be others who could do better than this lot.

Blackduck · 09/10/2008 11:32
  1. its tv and therefore edited.
  2. its tougher than we all think - easy to sit a home and say 'I could do that'. Have a friend who trained as a chef and did FoH and he siad its so much harder than it looks. Orders coming in left right and centre, etc etc.
  3. Anyone doing it better probably has their own gaff already...
  4. contestants are chosen partly (mainly) for good TV...
PuppyMonkey · 09/10/2008 12:21

That rude customer was so . Mind you, I now think he should be made to go round to all the other restaurants too to test how they deal nwith him. Now that would be a challenge.

WideWebWitch · 09/10/2008 12:38

I really like Steve and wassername, I think they're fab. Shame about her cooking though. How they ended up in the challenge instead of Mr Clangers I don't know. Crap idea for food, crap marketing.

That rude bloke was VILE.

James and Alistair are SO obviously in love but haven't admitted it to each other or themselves

majeika · 09/10/2008 12:41

WWW - I think Alastair is in love with James but James is hetro! did you see him lusting after those women last night and commenting on her boobs?

Or is it a cover?

Alastair will ruin it for James - just watch.

You need a confident FOH to cover for what is going on in the kitchen and Ali just doenst do it!

WideWebWitch · 09/10/2008 12:53

Maj, yes, you're probably right, there was a COMPLETE 'look of love' from Alistair to James last night, it was v funny.

Blackduck · 09/10/2008 13:18

They need to stay in then just to see what happens! SO who will go??? My money is on welsh wok...

pagwatch · 09/10/2008 13:23

he only thing worse than that shouting borish twat of a customer were the sappy little wankers he was with.
If anyone I went out with behaved like that i would tell them to shut up or I would leave. I know that the people I am friends with wouldn't tolerate my behaving likethat either ( notthat I ever would of course).
Insteadthey all sat there like little spinless twonks .
I bet he usually pays the bill where everthey go They all looked like they were suck ups. I wonder what he has over them?
I LOVED the other customers clapping when he left too.

cupsoftea · 09/10/2008 13:36

pagwatch - thought they were agreeing with the ones who were leaving? Might have missed a bit though

PuppyMonkey · 09/10/2008 13:40

Ooh no, cupsoftea. They were definitely clapping cos the loudmouthed arse left imho.

cupsoftea · 09/10/2008 13:43

I sat on the remote at this point and missed a bit! I wondered if the rude customer was an actor? as just so rude.

pagwatch · 09/10/2008 13:43

No they were definately clapping because the tosser was leaving at last. I would have stood up and applauded too.

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 09/10/2008 14:48

pagwatch - so agree with you about foul man's twonky tossery friends

expatinscotland · 09/10/2008 18:00

'If anyone I went out with behaved like that i would tell them to shut up or I would leave. I know that the people I am friends with wouldn't tolerate my behaving likethat either ( notthat I ever would of course).
Insteadthey all sat there like little spinless twonks .'

Same here, pag.

That other chap was trying to hide his face.

WTF? Grow a pair and toss the tosser out yourself, man!
