BBC 2 6.30pm mon-friday - professional chefs,judged by Gregg but no John,instead Michel Roux jnr,who is quite stern,I think - yay !

tonight I liked Dan the pastry chef - was sorry he didn't get through

I reckon the right one overall got through though MAS. Sure if it was just a pastry comp then Dan would have been the man.

I'm finding the procession of young white men a bit tedious tbh - at least with normal (or even celebrity) MC there is some variety of gender, age and ethnicity...
Have there been ANY women or black people?

Def been a woman on, though not many admittedly.

Maybe it's representative of those that applied though, and they can't be held responsible for that.

Yes I realise this reflects the demographic of strutting ambitious chefs, but it doesn't make for very interesting viewing! You don't get the feeling there's much, erm, backstory to them really do you?

the pork rolled up in bacon with the sauce and mini carrots looked divine.could have scoffed that easily.

I like Michel Roux too, he's often kind after he's been horrible. But it was a big mistake not to put Cassie through. They haven't had any female contestants, and they get one who can cook a lot better than the other two and don't give her a chance?

hers clearly tasted good,just looked untidy - was surprised they didn't give her a chance

Derek and Robert both very good - Gregg makes me laugh,he's so in awe of Michel

MRJ is an absolute fox, a hottie. I just don't trust a chef who is so skinny- but yummer yummer!

MRJ's accent fascinates me, has a very slight French twang to it in it's intonation even though his mother tongue is obviously English!

oh dear, I do fancy him a bit ! he has lovely brown eyes - think Gregg is a little in love with him

Yeah nice one Degsy. Thought he'd win. I liked when he kind of admitted he didn't have a life, and was hoping that he'd have one later once he'd become established. The guy's a grafter - no wonder he's so ace.
