Clips here

and

here!

I remember being quite unnerved by that Vortex. I watched it a few times before realising that the celebrity contestants couldn't see it!

Doogy rev, doogy rev....

Oh yes I remember that one! Wasn't it a forerunner to Crystal Maze, which was also great fun.

UnquietDad · 11/08/2008 14:13

It was quite similar to The Crystal Maze. I think of them both when the DCs watch Raven and Trapped.

Nodrap, yttotnekot?

Ah, the talking aspidistra. Wasn't it in charge, the head Argon or whatever they were?

UnquietDad · 11/08/2008 14:18

Yes, those with the talking aspidistra, Lesley the Mole etc. were the later ones... They weren't in it to begin with. It had a bit of a revamp around series 2 or 3.

I think only one person (possibly Johnny Ball?) used the ham sandwich they were given at the end for the correct purpose - to toss on to the Vortex squares to test if the Vortex was there before moving! Everyone else did it "blind"!

I have to confess that I absolutely LOVED this programme. What were the token thingies called, drogma or something ?

UnquietDad · 11/08/2008 14:22

drognas.

Everything was an anagram of dragon - Argond, Rangdo etc.

Drogna, presumably (everything was an anagram of "dragon"). I did like this show... [sighs for lost youth].

The Aspidistra wass the uncle or grandfather. It didn't speak though, it just rustled and someone translated.

MadameOvary · 11/08/2008 14:27

I loved this
Used to play it with my friends too
I wanted the crystal

Or was that the crystal maze (doh)

Bobbiewickham · 14/08/2008 12:19

I thought they threw a green cheese roll, not a ham sandwich.

I loved the Adventure Game.
