I'm not in the best of moods and it's making me tense but I do want to watch it now I've started. Does it get any easier to watch? I'm hating all the stuff with that nasty man in his house

I'm sat frowning at my tv - I was already upset when they started getting it on, never mind the rape scene. I want to watch to see how it ends but I also want to go to bed

ingles2 · 19/07/2008 22:51

dh says it doesn't get any easier and you won't guess the ending.
I haven't seen it and am not really watching.
Does that help at all?

Moomin · 19/07/2008 22:53

I reckon it'll turn out that she's set him up for all of it.

oh no now his friend's been shot. It's all a bit much.......

Its making me feel a bit sick actually. I thought at the start she was setting him up...can I go to bed now?

norkmaiden · 19/07/2008 23:01

it's horrible. Is on in the background, so I'm not really watching/following the plot. But I know I don't like it at all

TheMadHouse · 19/07/2008 23:04

We have turned it off, ask DH the ending please

ingles2 · 19/07/2008 23:06

you could be right Moomin

TheRealPhartiphukborlz · 19/07/2008 23:07

but there's nothign else on to watch >

Moomin · 19/07/2008 23:10

ahhhh, the cogs are working now for poor old Charles.

I knew that picure of her 'daughter' would be taken from a magazine or a photo frame.

I hope he blows their bloody heads off and then I can go to sleep

Moomin · 19/07/2008 23:14

Very far-fetched though...

I mean, who'd choose her nasty boyfriend over Clive Owen and David Morrissey?

Sad thing is, DH is out at the pub and I'm too scared to go upstairs on my own now

Sidge · 19/07/2008 23:16

I thought it was a good film.

The ending is clever!

TheRealPhartiphukborlz · 19/07/2008 23:18

too much shooting!

Moomin · 19/07/2008 23:19

Oh good. That's them sorted then...

why is he a teacher?
did he do jail?

Washersaurus · 19/07/2008 23:26

It is his community service I think

I've got it on in the background and I'm a little confused why he's in the prison too.

Washersaurus · 19/07/2008 23:28

this is a bit too gruesome

DH predicted the ending.
The whole film was about 30 minutes too long - should have left it after Jennifer Anniston snuffed it.

TheRealPhartiphukborlz · 19/07/2008 23:34

missed the beginning
only half watched it..
agree. 30minutes too long

MarsLady · 20/07/2008 00:20

It's a great film!

Moomin · 21/07/2008 10:14

He was a qualified teacher already like his wife. They wove that into the story early on when they were talking about how much money they needed to pay for their daughter's treatment and he said he couldn't go back to teaching because it didn't pay enough (ain't that the truth)

Thought it was ok in the end but JA was badly cast. Clive Owen's always worth a shufty though.
