I have enjoyed it as I always do but I’m hoping next season will be with non celebs as I feel they are more entertaining where no-one knows each other and it’s more cut throat. The first two episodes were the best IMO. As for James A he must have known what he was letting himself in for when he signed up he should never have gone on if it would affect his mental health as much as it did. Must admit I wanted Kenny to win loved him!

itsnearly2027 · Yesterday 23:09

My only worry for the celebrity version is people seem to have had a harsher public reaction which might put some top drawer people off participating

2026onwardsandup · Yesterday 23:11

I also don’t agree that James A ruined the final . It was another twist that we didn’t see coming , that he would out himself . I have also read in the press that a lot of what went on in that round table wasn’t filmed . We didn’t see how this impacted James A. It wasn’t just a few minutes exchange as we saw .

I do think we have learned from other reality shows , that the mental health of the contestants does need to be protected . We can’t really know what it is like as we haven’t experienced it . They are away from their family / loved ones -with I understand only 1 phone call a day which is monitored . So I do think the stress / tension will build up .
Yes it is only a game and they are paid , but other than when they are sleeping they are being constantly filmed . Other than Rob & Romesh and some of the comedians and a few others , they didn’t know each other very well and then have to spend all their waking hours being filmed together.

I love the celebrity ones as I feel they are generally much nicer about everything because the money is going to charity. They seem to make great friendships. The normal ones can be good drama but leave a bad taste in your mouth eg irish one

Newsenmum · Yesterday 23:12

Joanne on uncloacked was actually hysterical. I may have watched her reaction more than once!

Stowickthevast · Yesterday 23:15

I was pleased with a Bash & Romesh win - they both played good games and didn't display the arrogance we saw from Michael and James, though I did feel for James at the end. Very happy that the money has gone to two refugee charities.

I think the last two episodes have been strong and it's been interesting to see a different type of game. I think someone on one of the other threads said all the problems this series arose from Claudia only choosing 2 traitors at the start so there was no back up when REG put his foot in it. I doubt they'll be doing that again.

Stowickthevast · Yesterday 23:16

And thanks for all your work on the threads throughout @CaveMum

The Traitors Ireland

Poundland/Temu Traitors with wobbly sets, 1980s school obstacle course missions and loads of swearing and shouting at the round table !
Great entertainment but incomparable tbf !

WimbyAce · Yesterday 23:23

Gutted for James B but it was his own fault! Thought Bash was brilliant in the final, so pleased he got the win. Started to dislike Maya, do we know why she wasn't on uncloaked at all, not even a recording?

I was wondering how James A feels when he watches the other traitors and faithfuls on tv talking, laughing and not taking it seriously?

Absolute wet wipe - hopefully either returning his fee or sending it off to his chosen charity

It’s hilarious that you think he shouldn’t receive his fee for being in a light entertainment tv show because you didn’t think he was entertaining enough.

Exactly.

He was so unbelievably dull and not at all funny.

If the word 'comedian' hadn't been displayed on the screen whenever he appeared, I wouldn't have had a clue that he was supposed to be funny.

He was a total waste of space for the entire series.

workworkworknofun · Yesterday 23:41

So weird that Maya didn't show up for the after show. Apparently they all such great mates now, and she was queen bee, why wouldn't she even do a little interview like Michael? Do you think she is still pissed off with James A?

Edited

She has a huge Halloween party every year so she’s probably busy with that.

Loads of other contestants weren’t their either, people have commitments it doesn’t always have to be a drama.

edited to add she did do a post show interview with Ed Gamble like Michael did? She just wasn’t on the live show.

I choked up when Rom and Bash announced their charities. This programme will be watched around the world and it was so heartwarming to see two British people publicly supporting refugees and displaced people. Thank you Rom and Bash. Proud of you both.

Wanted a Kenny win but this was the next best thing. Shame no women in the final 4 though.

No Joe is transitioning to tv - see here

why do you think Kenny went on a TV show?

Joe Sugg has increasingly moved away from daily YouTube content to focus on traditional television and broader entertainment projects. 1, 2]
Career Shift to TV
Transitioning from YouTube: Sugg has noted that the core YouTube chapter of his career is winding down as he gets older and explores new ventures.
Strictly Come Dancing: His successful run on Strictly Come Dancing opened doors for mainstream broadcasting and proved that digital creators can transition into TV.
New Television Projects: Sugg and his partner Dianne Buswell have teamed up to front a TV series called Raiders on Sky History.
Production Ventures: He has also worked behind the scenes, including setting up production initiatives with BBC Studios to support new talent. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

I’m lost who is Sugg in relation to this thread? X

Can’t believe how dumb James B was to want another banishment; the other two - who had been happy to share victory with him - were obviously going to vote for him. Signed his own death warrant.

Romesh and Bash were good and worthy winners .

IDontLikePinaColadas · Yesterday 23:48

I may have missed someone else saying this but I would have kept James A in after his announcement…. The faithful would have known he was a traitor and that was the last day of the players saying whether they were traitors or faithful so it would have narrowed the odds….

jumpintheline · Yesterday 23:51

Great final!

Felt for Leigh-Anne. The theories around her were such rubbish. Lip gloss and Big Mix!

I think Maya could have defended herself better if she’d kept her cool. She seemed to get quite riled. Blunty really went for her.

Fair play to wonderful traitor Kenny throwing her under the bus! I wonder if they are reconciled.

Bash was brilliant in the end game. It makes me wish we’d seen more of him through the series.

I found the complete absence of James A from uncloaked conspicuous. Especially as he was a traitor and went out in such an unusual fashion. Odd to not mention it at all.

It will be very interesting to see which celebs do it next time.

MyAzureZebra · Yesterday 23:56

I thought it was a poor series. Some of them didnt want to be there or didn't think/understand the game, namely Richard E Grant and James A. Richard messed it up at the start and James at the end. Either could have chosen to exit rather than blow their cover. I think the producers should be more careful who they choose. Kenny, Maya and Alan and Jonathan were great traitors. Richard and James were not.

Fantastic result. Delighted with that.

Maya, REG and James A were disappointing as Traitors (REG = obviously awful), Kenny at least performed brilliantly!

There wasn't any strategy really which made the series a bit flat drama wise. And some very daft murder decisions along the way.

Loved Rom & Bash trusting each other right to the bitter end!

Great charities too.

I agree it was a bit flat. I almost gave up.

BUT then James A dropped his bombshell and it just hotted up from there.

I LOVED the banish or finish scene. So pleased for Bash and Romesh who were better Faithfuls than any of the Traitors were as Traitors I think (though Kenny had his high points).

Bash is really quite on it. Deserved win - and Romesh I love.

Absolutely! Brilliant winners and brilliant charities 👏👏👏👏👏

I worried how she would fare under pressure, as her whole game had been predicated on avoiding it.

She got away with that clanger at breakfast though! I thought she was sunk for sure when she toasted to "KILLING .... or even banishing ..."

He was a total waste of space for the entire series.

On the contrary, James A's announcement was the only thing that kept me watching - and it got much, MUCH better from that point. His move jolted it into life.

Until then it had just been traitors hiding under the radar and getting new ones whenever. I think next series they need to make it a bit harder for the traitors to do that.

Also, re the dynamic, I think they choose quite carefully a mix of personality types, and I think Richard was a loss on that front. I think he would have brought interest if he hadn't been ... so interesting ... too soon!
