I may have missed someone else saying this but I would have kept James A in after his announcement…. The faithful would have known he was a traitor and that was the last day of the players saying whether they were traitors or faithful so it would have narrowed the odds….

I’m pretty sure that won’t have been an option after whatever it was exactly that caused the hiatus in filming. The producers will have discussed and consulted with James A and the welfare team what to do, and I imagine the rest of the cast will have been asked to continue the round table as if for a normal banishment, but that James A needed to be banished. It’s why it all continued, slightly unconvincingly, much as usual, after his self-outing speech.

BestIsWest · Today 00:08

We were at a show tonight but managed to avoid seeing the result and have just caught up. Really pleased the Faithfuls won and that it was Romesh and Bash.

Ahhhh fair point.

Joanne on uncloacked was actually hysterical. I may have watched her reaction more than once!

Really? I had to turn the sound down ...

Don’t ever go to one of her shows, then…

I said this on the other thread but are people not aware that James A has autism? This will have more than likely lead him to play the game the way he did

Absolute LOL at the poster who’s been triggered.

I did not know this. That does help to explain it a bit. Although we have had some fab autistic traitors previously!

I think her style and humour obviously goes over my head, and I would have hated to be Miranda when she turned on her. She's just very high volume in every way ...

Oddly, though, I think deep down there's probably a bit of a shy softie in Joanne - but it is quite deep down!

I haven't read every thread this evening, but I know it wasn't mentioned on air... did anyone else think Kenny blew by by voting to end the game when they were down to 4? At that point the camera cut to Bash who was clearly thinking "Hold on, how can you be so sure there are no more traitors"? Up till then Kenny had played brilliantly, but DP and I were both shouting "You've blown it" at the screen. We really enjoyed the final because once Maya had gone we honestly didn't care who won, all 5 deserved it.

The irony of people’s total lack of empathy and understanding for James A quitting for his mental health but then being ‘triggered’ because someone left a totally nonsense TV show.

The thing is James A could have said in his plea to become a traitor that he didn't want to be one.

At any stage he could have walked out. Its reality tv. Life happens and he only had to put out a statement that he had to leave for personal reasons. Much bigger acts than James A cancel gigs usng that reason. I presume he didn't want to forfeit his fee though. Greedy man.

Yes, we were shouting "nooo Kenny" too when he voted to end, but I think he was just hoping to get to the end by then as one traitor wins all - which was of course the giveaway.

He was just a little too hasty to reach for the prize!

Yes, DS(14), a huge Kenny fan (who’d been disgusted Niko went so quickly last year), was shouting ‘What were you THINKING???’ at the tv.

Really? I had to turn the sound down ...

Its gone viral. Quoted as the best piece of tv this year.
It appeared on my socials so many times today.
I don't watch Uncloaked.

Oh, all her early stand-up is quite dark, about bulimia and spending time in a psychiatric hospital after she had a huge mental breakdown in her 30s, and some of the details of her adoption are terribly sad.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. As I said, I had a sense she might be quite sensitive underneath.

I think the finale was completely ruined by James Acaster. It messed everything up.

It's really triggered me. Why was he even on the show?

Triggered?! Really??

Triggered?! Really??

Yes I can't understand why some people are so offended by him leaving.

It's not like any of us were paying him. I thought it opened up the gameboard a bit. In the end it was a great last couple of episodes.

AutumnOakTree · Today 04:53

I liked James A and he was quite vocal at the round table, discussing stuff, putting out theories etc.. He also grew into his role as traitor in the turret. Didn’t Jonathan Ross say how difficult it was being a traitor as you had to be on your guard all the time?

in the last episode , I suddenly realised why Bash is called Bash.
Ie Sebastian becomes Seb - Bash - (sh)Ian. Duh!

I liked Oz S 1.

My favourite ever contestant Nigel ❤️❤️❤️

My favourite ever traitors Oz season 2 although I know some people least favourite
followed by :-

India traitors, the characters ❤️

Then both celebrities and civilians U.K. traitors

if they have been on bbc I’ve watched them! NZ, Canada, US, Ireland.

IroningWhileWatchingTV · Today 06:36

Newsenmum · Yesterday 23:11

I love the celebrity ones as I feel they are generally much nicer about everything because the money is going to charity. They seem to make great friendships. The normal ones can be good drama but leave a bad taste in your mouth eg irish one

Completely agree with this.
The ‘normal’ one last year was just horrible and why anyone wants to win a prize that is essentially a huge character assassination I have no idea.

WeirdlyNorm · Today 06:46

Great final!

Felt for Leigh-Anne. The theories around her were such rubbish. Lip gloss and Big Mix!

I think Maya could have defended herself better if she’d kept her cool. She seemed to get quite riled. Blunty really went for her.

Fair play to wonderful traitor Kenny throwing her under the bus! I wonder if they are reconciled.

Bash was brilliant in the end game. It makes me wish we’d seen more of him through the series.

I found the complete absence of James A from uncloaked conspicuous. Especially as he was a traitor and went out in such an unusual fashion. Odd to not mention it at all.

It will be very interesting to see which celebs do it next time.

He probably doesn’t feel welcome.

He broke the rules of the game, and has openly criticised the production team and been negative about certain behind the scenes aspects of the show.

But we don't pronounce bash in the full name, but bast? Sebastian

Seh - bast- eean.

Maybe he or a young family member used to pronounce it as bash and miss the T out. It's cute!

The only time I found uncomfortable rather than entertaining in the UK civillian version was S3 Charlotte doubling down after she had to confess to being a Traitor to the Seer. That was hard to watch.

Still watched it, obviously...

MrsMitford3 · Today 07:00

OsfameronTanamoril · Yesterday 21:55

I did too. She could barely get going as she was so hamstrung by all the useless and reluctant traitors.

the game would have been so so different if they had made Amol (who I do't really even like) a Traitor and the series would have been saved from James A's constant "I never wanted to be a traitor"
I think it would have made for a much better series

OsfameronTanamoril · Today 07:08

Any thoughts on how minority women can avoid the targets painted on their backs? As 3 out of 4 UK seasons have had a minority woman as a Traitor, it seems obvious that players are metagaming. Though their comments are edited out.
