It’s time to stop the Neil send ups.!

I quite like them, he used to be my least favourite male dancer by a mile but he’s growing on me.
i do wonder why they keep him in the show when they clearly have no intention of giving him a partner.
is he a sort of unofficial swing because he can pick up choreography quickly?

Rainbowcat77 · 24/10/2026 22:57

the80sweregreat · 24/10/2026 21:36

Graham seems genuine , but also wants to improve and is likeable. I do like his dog programme.

I’m loving this partnership too…I expected him to be a first out rubbish dancer type and thought “oh poor Lauren” when they were paired but actually he’s likeable, improving and they’re just really good fun to watch.

autumngirl714 · 24/10/2026 23:37

I’m just catching up.
i feel the same about Bethany and Nancy as I did last week. Nancy is spoiling Bethany’s chances because she won’t let her shine. I know Nancy is clearly absolutely buzzing to be a partner as she’s spoken out previously when being left on the bench… but she should be supporting and complimenting Bethany. Their couple isn’t working. Feel so sad for Bethany.
I also don’t like cache and maddie. I don’t like that he’s being street elements into everything. We get it, you can street dance 🙄.

Tinydanceer · 24/10/2026 23:52

Mooselove · 24/10/2026 21:17

I don't see that Maddie is brilliant if she can't or won't choreograph the correct dance. Tonight was meant to be a cha cha cha and yet the judges said it wasn't. Their first dance was not whatever it was meant to be but just Cach doing his street dance moves.

She seems to think she doesn't have to abide by any rules and knows better than the judges

Thank you!!!

Tinydanceer · 24/10/2026 23:53

augustusglupe · 24/10/2026 21:03

Agree that Josh is seeing out the contract. But that’s a shame because he would be great upstairs I’m sure.
I can’t bear JoJo

I know someone close to him and he is really enjoying it - I said can you tell him we aren’t 😂

Tinydanceer · 25/10/2026 00:01

StuckAgain · 24/10/2026 22:05

Me too. But I never get the music I want, possibly because DWTS nicked it first or maybe they cannot make it fit.
So I'd love...
Emperor's new clothes - panic at the disco
Heads will roll - yeah, yeah, yeahs
Kill of the night - gin wigmore
Cry little sister - Lost boys OST
Fear the reaper - any version if BOC won't work
Frankenstein - editors
Black cat - Janet Jackson
Ole devil called love - Alison Moyet version

There are others! I have an old post somewhere.
(Sequins under a name change but cannot be arsed to change back).
Hope you are all well.
I like the trio of presenters.
Josh makes me laugh and Emma and him have great chemistry. But she is epic. So natural and good at presenting.

What I abhor though is what they have done to Neil and him, poor bugger with bills to pay and freshly married and with a daughter, sucking it up to be the butt of the joke. Every. Single. Week.
Crikey, even Anton didn't have it so bad.
Or Anten, based on tonight.
Not as bad as a Donny ten but still not like getting one from Craig. Although he has also over marked a couple of times this series which is irksome.
Yes, skeleton is obvious. But tickles me nonetheless. Be amazed if they don't go with it.
At least Halloween is actually on Halloween this year.

Edited

Have you seen Neil’s car?

he’s doing fine - don’t worry bout that - they have many lucrative contracts

he’s on Saturday night tv every week! I think he’s ok

Empress13 · 25/10/2026 00:23

Cach is a one trick pony tho his ballroom went down well. Agree there was no cha cha cha so that was down to Maddie! Think SWP and either Cach or Lawrence in DO. Notice Emma is getting a bit more glam thankfully!

Recklessismymiddlename · 25/10/2026 03:56

I’m not rating Maddie as a pro. She needs to be more like Katya, a better pro would have got more out of Cach.

Nancy not working for me as well with Bethany.

Loving some of the others. Especially Tabby & Graham.

Johannes much improved I think.

Recklessismymiddlename · 25/10/2026 05:42

I forgot to add what is going on with Shirley, getting worse methinks. Even dh commented. And he never usually notices.

Lampzade · 25/10/2026 07:30

I know that many of us think that Cach would be better with an another pro , which I agree with . However, I think that Lauren would be the better pro for Cach rather than Katya

Cach comes across as someone who is very sensitive and Katya’s style of teaching may not suit him despite the fact that she is an excellent teacher
. Lauren has the right balance of being a great teacher but also someone who is a bit more empathetic

WhisperingAngelisnotbad · 25/10/2026 08:38

I think though that the story arc will be Cach doing his own steps and being brilliant and entertaining, and then learning to do ballroom and Latin choreography. And that would make a fantastic "journey". So it might work out really well for them.

It didn't work for Leighton.

Or Lewis.

xsquared · 25/10/2026 09:29

Or Lewis.

I don't think Lewis was in the doing his own style category was he? Just a standard ringer.

the80sweregreat · 25/10/2026 09:58

Maybe there should be ground rules for the dances made from the start ?
Cach’s partner is as much to blame as well by allowing him to do alternative dances to the original.

TellingBone · 25/10/2026 10:45

There are rules I believe? That's how they judge anyway.

What I find strange about Cach is that when he got berated the first week when he was brilliant but just doing street dance, he came back the next week having appeared to listen to the advice and got on with it; and he got great scores.

Having said that, he seemed to go wrong instantly in the Cha Cha and then just sort of give up on it rather than trying to rally and retrieve it. Just a bad week perhaps.

Graeme has natural dance ability. You can see he's got natural rhythm and an understanding of the dance rather than just learning steps by rote [eg as Sean WP appears to do]. What's against him is that he's not light on his feet - and as Motsi said, his stance. It is possible though, as we've seen, for someone with a bigger build to dance brilliantly [eg Hamza]. I like Graeme very much and hope he progresses.

Monty36 · 25/10/2026 10:48

I do dislike the extended chats Josh and Emma have with the contestants after they have danced. It goes on for far too long.
I dislike that Shirley monopolises the judges feedback. For so long sometimes they can barely get one other judge to comment.
I prefer Johannes dancing but he is doing his best. And doing okay. The long chats from Emma and Josh leave him with little to ask.
They need say goodbye to Josh, consider putting Johannes back on the dance floor and get Zoe Ball or someone similar in. I never understand why they took Johannes off the dance floor ? Unless there was/ is something that caused that decision to be made we are all unaware of.

Some of the marking again is inconsistent.
Far too early for a 10. And too much favouritism for inappropriate reasons from the judges. Ie nothing to do with the dancing.

Mokel · 25/10/2026 11:00

I can see Josh leave. He would be asked to leave but the media will say he left on his own terms.

Should revert back to the two presenters with Emma and Jojo

AlwaysRightISwear · 25/10/2026 11:02

Josh has an existing career to go back to. Jojo only has the dancing which he will age out of at some point.

BeaLola · 25/10/2026 11:43

the80sweregreat · 24/10/2026 22:02

We had a power cut yesterday for four minutes !

Sadly (or not depending on which dances you liked) our power cut lasted for nearly 3 hours - I was furious because I had turned over to watch the rugby (France) and it was a great match , that I missed most of

autumngirl714 · 25/10/2026 13:00

I think people just need to get over the fact the show has new presenters. Let’s be honest, nobody wanted them to do well before they started going by the comments all over social media. All this talk of them stepping down, would whoever replaced them actually win? Or would everyone just witch hunt them like this trio. I very much remember everyone tearing into Tess for YEARS for being wooden and this now seems somewhat forgotten and the show just “isn’t the same”! It's an entertaining, lighthearted TV show and these are actually people who are doing their best. The comments across the socials are ridiculous and so OTT. People just need to let them do their thing and either enjoy it or just move on.

autumngirl714 · 25/10/2026 13:05

Also, for the people saying JoJo needs to go back to dancing. He really doesn’t. He’s chosen to move on and that is absolutely his decision. It’s not up to us to say what job he does. He clearly didn’t want to do that anymore. We don’t HAVE to do the same job our whole lives. There must be an insane a limit of pressure mentally and physically to do that, so good for him for taking a leap and doing something new.

rant over 😂

SweetBaklava · 25/10/2026 13:09

I would have gone for two female presenters again… if it ain’t broke don’t fix!!!! Emma has been excellent as predicted but they should have given the cohosting gig to Zoe - I’m baffled why they didn’t. Anyway… hindsight is a great thing isn’t it. In reality, I would imagine the two boys are going nowhere for now, so everyone needs to just accept it and move on. The media treatment of Josh particularly has been grim.

autumngirl714 · 25/10/2026 13:18

It really has and I bet a lot of the people being unnecessarily critical/vocal/mean about Josh were part of the “be kind” brigade. Like I said, I don’t think anyone WANTED him/Jojo to do well. They were doomed from the start. I personally think they’re all doing well and I’m enjoying the series. If I wasn’t, I’d probably just save my energy and watch something else.

Edited

But if 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' had been the mantra we never would have got two women presenting - it started with a man and a woman.

I think there was a deliberate decision to not replicate the previous set up both times the main presenter has changed, first so that no man was constantly compared to Brucie and now so there isn't a 'new Tess' and a 'new Claudia'. It hasn't been a particularly successful ploy this time around but I'm not sure any one in upstairs role would be safe from not being Claudia even if they were brilliant.
