The Middle

US sitcom from a while ago. Did anyone else like it? I think it's great. It was available on ITVx for ages but now on TLC, although several seasons in at this point.

It is really funny and true to life. Great acting and story lines. Great watching them all grow up. I can watch it over and over my late teens loved it to.

I love The middle it’s one of the few sitcoms suitable for the whole family!

Thanks for responses. I'm sure more people would like it if it was better promoted here. Perhaps C4 could show it on a loop occasionally, instead of Everybody Loves Raymond (which I also like). I only discovered The Middle because Patricia Heaton was in it.

I loved! We watched the whole thing as a family (it’s on Netflix too) and then had a special middle party when we got to the end!

They probably don’t have the rights to do that.

We’ve watched it several times and love it. My grandsons have watched it in Portugal a couple of times. I’ve bought them an Orson Limestone t shirt, like Mikes. My DD has been to see Eden Sher, who played Sue, at the Edinburgh festival. Her show was called “I was on a sitcom” and DD and friend had photo taken with her. They were thrilled!

It’s brilliant. The family are so relatable and all the supporting characters are great too.

We loved it - watched it with my 3 who are now getting older and not too far from likely moving out so I sobbed at the last episode! It felt like our family had grown up with them. Having a moment now in fact!!!

We loved it. Sometimes very, very realistic!

One of the best comedy shows in my opinion

When DC2 (now 23) was tiny he’d always ask to sit and watch a comfy programme together, comfy programmes have stuck with all of us and The middle fits the bill perfectly. Easy to watch and funny. It’s on Netflix at the moment and I’m rewatching.

Love it. Brilliant show. Sue is absolutely glorious.

I’m on the last 2 episodes (for the umpteenth time) but holding back because I don’t want to get to the end, plus I need to be on my own with my tissues, as I feel as though I’m saying goodbye to family. On the other hand I can watch it from the beginning again. It has definitely stood the test of time.

Sue Sue Heck is my favourite tv daughter. I am amazed it doesn’t seem to be very well known (in my circles at least!). Just so relatable, funny and poignant.

My dc have declared that they will freeze each other’s heads 🤣

I really enjoyed it, it featured an ordinary American family when often they portray wealthier families.

A sit com that's funny, warm and wise. We need more of these again. Especially nowadays! (I'm having to record triple episodes at a time on TLC channel now ITVX took it off, lol.)
