Anton looks more like Johnny Marr.

Totally, said that earlier. Not a bad thing tho 😂

the80sweregreat · 17/10/2026 19:50

Anton looks very fancible actually !

Is it me or does Lacey just always seem a bit miserable, maybe it’s nerves.

I think she's like me (and by his own confession the other week Craig) in that her neutral expression looks miserable so unless she is actively smiling she looks cross/sad/scared/bored and I dozen other things I've been called.

gingercat02 · 17/10/2026 19:51

Lacey seemed happier tonight. I want her to do well

the80sweregreat · 17/10/2026 19:51

Lacey was great, but they didn’t seem keen.

CrushingOnRubies · 17/10/2026 19:52

I’m wondering with Lacey because she is an actress and yet so self-deprecating that she found it easier to be a character. As opposed to Lacey on the dance floor she’s Adele on the dance floor. It makes it easier somehow

thebrowncatisback · 17/10/2026 19:52

I think Lacey is a very calm and under stated person

chaosmaker · 17/10/2026 19:52

Like they said earlier about lifts being signalled, she had none of that. I might give her a vote. How many left to dance?

the80sweregreat · 17/10/2026 19:52

JJ doing much better tonight.

The interviews and profiles I've read and videos I’ve seen all say he had no professional training and is entirely self taught. The dancing he does is mostly solo or small groups for video rather than having to learn partnering, someone else's choreography, group work and reproduce it live night after night for an audience.

If someone is self taught I don't consider them a ringer.

Its obvious he has found it a massive adjustment to learn someone else’s choreography, partnering and keeping to specific types of move and reproducing all that live.

This debate turns up every year. Isn't a ringer someone who has had significant dance experience and has worked professionally as a dancer that it gives them an advantage in the competition? Cach has worked as a professional dancer so it is/was his job.

It's just that I think some people want to call someone a ringer when it suits them whether theyve been self taught, or whether they're just very good, but when it's someone who they want in the competition then it doesn't count somehow.

I have no issues with Cach in the show, and Lewis Cope was my favourite last year. However, there seems to be double standards when it comes to ringerdom. When it's contestants who are good but not as popular suddenly it's "They shouldn't be on the show. They're a dirty ringahh!" When it's someone they like, their dance experience gets minimised - see Karen Carney.

Oh my dad told me off on holiday for being miserable. I was suffering from jet lag a bit but I was bit like what do you want me to do wonder around like the Cheshire Cat the whole time. No I’m just being me

Josh! Love it

ILikeStrictly · 17/10/2026 19:54

At the start, when we saw two Adeles, I thought Vito really was going to begin dancing with Adele wig.
Then it pulled back and realised it was a mirror. I’ve missed the point of that, though, unless it was to get some sort of prop on an otherwise bare stage.

RowsOfFlowers · 17/10/2026 19:54

Josh legit looked like a woman

Cheer up it might never happen - just makes me even less impressed. I'm not naturally smily either.

Lampzade · 17/10/2026 19:55

Many talented actors/ actresses are reserved and shy in real life
Lacey is very self deprecating and low key which is the complete opposite of her character on Eastenders
