If the show is potentially ever in trouble though, because the traitors all go out really quickly, then there could be no cash as they may not be able to broadcast the show as it would be over too quickly. And they constantly interfere with allowing or not allowing recruitment etc which I’m sure they do based on how things are going.

Having said that, if they’ve actually said they don’t go as far as telling the contestants what to do, I can imagine that they wouldn’t take the risk in case someone spoke about it afterwards. I still think it was odd that they chose Kenny as Maya didn’t seem keen. Although maybe they edited out that bit.

The traitors can't all go out quickly so that scenario could not possibly happen. One is banished, another is recruited to take their place.

Why do you say they allow or not allow recruitment? There are standard rules and whichever rule comes into play depends on how the game is going. It's like golf. You only use the 'ball in lake' rule if someone hits a ball in the lake.

I think I missed it, was there actual scent in the bottle? If so, wouldn’t that attract suspicion? 🤔

Apologies if I’ve missed another reply, but there was powder in the bottle. I think. It was just a quick spray with it, so it didn’t go far and would look like dust.

Just catching up on last weeks episodes since I wasn't here those days.

Hmm, if it’s that hard for him, why sign up? (And Cat managed fine last year so…)
He wasn’t conscripted so could have said no… and he doesn’t appear to have a problem with lies on WILTY

He’s just coming across as a bit precious.

You do know that autism is a spectrum, right? You sound very ignorant tbh

EstoyRobandoSuCasa · 18/10/2026 22:33

Am I the only one who thought James A slipped up slightly before the last round table? A few contestants were discussing the traitors and referring to them as they/them, then James referred to them as "us". I can't remember exactly what he said, but it was something like, "if one of us doesn't murder you first".

I noticed that. I was astonished none of them did.

Because if for example they think it’s a weak group of traitors, the producers can just decide to offer a recruitment. If they turn down the offer they could get offered that chance again and again. I’m sure they change the plan as the series goes along depending on how entertaining it is (or isn’t).

Getting caught up . Wasn’t that keen on Miranda on tv before but did like her when she was being interviewed etc . Do love her in this and she is such a loyal faithful and comes across as very astute. I do think the traitors would prefer to murder her rather than recruit her / but who knows .

Joe L did seem a bit silly being so vocal about wanting to be recruited . Perhaps if he had said it once and it came across as a joke . But at the round table they will pounce on anything , so dangerous to even say it once . When being interviewed on Uncloaked, he did seem a bit remorseful that he got banished because of this . I have liked him on this and he also came across well on ;“Who do you think you are “ although only caught the second half .

I find Jerry quite annoying . Can’t really figure out why she was a trio with Romesh and Rob . Did they just find her zany comments endearing/ funny or were they slightly in awe of her fame- both ?

Loved starstruck too . Don’t think it was a big hit . I think it was one of those series where I caught some of it after watching something else and enjoyed it .

Trans people exist whether you like it or not, you know.

We know transpeople exist and the majority of decent folk have no issue with them, or anyone else wanting to lead their lives/refer to themselves/present in the manner they see fit; and will by and large accommodate this to the best of our abilities - UNTIL it impinges on protected single sex spaces/areas of life. At that point keeping up the polite facade bets are off and a stand has to be made.
Even then that does not ‘deny’ anyone’s ‘existence’ it’s just saying at certain points biology trumps - and hurty feelings and the need for personal validation are secondary x

Without wishing to add to the derail, I am actually really surprised he pretends to think men can be women, because the reason he hates being a traitor is because he can't stand lying and forcing people to go along with it, even when it's within the rules - required, even - of a mere game that everyone is consensually playing. Clearly he can put that aside when it suits his self image as a Good Person and fucks women over. To be fair, he's far from alone, but it really is interesting where lying makes him feel so stressed and dishonest, and where he doesn't give a sun blushed shit.

Anyhoo.

Preach xxxxx

ThatCyanCat · 18/10/2026 09:06

I don't think anyone has denied that men who claim to be women exist, they're just not women in the same way that they're not teacups or lampshades. You know how in the show, the traitors existing, but saying they are faithfuls, does not mean they actually are faithfuls and they're just lying? It's the same principle.

Anyway, sorry guys!

Chappeau xxxx

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

But back to the show, James A isn’t funny or clever he’s just a rubbish traitor. He’s coming across as a bit thick - didn’t he understand what the show was before he signed up? Please can someone banish him 🤞🏼

So I added to the derail-sorry!!

But I actually think that James will go far undetected as a traitor if he keeps up his deadpan ambivalence - maybe all the way…

mumofoneisonozempic · 18/10/2026 11:46

I reckon the group know that maya is a traitor 🤔🤔

I think as someone said upthread, they need to keep the Traitors close until the end

The endless recruitments have ruined the series

If that is the case -like the Ireland (Temu) version- I do think the edit should allude to it

I’m not so sure that they know because surely we’d have banished people saying Maya’s name when they leave (when Ed asks who they think is a traitor). I don’t think anyone has said Maya yet.

Agree though that if they are talking about her being one, it should be shown.

LightDuvet · 19/10/2026 07:25

I don't think anyone is suspecting Maya. And not because she's such an awesome Traitor, but as I said upthread, more luck that the Faithfuls are shooting themselves.

I don't think James A slipped up, when he said 'us' he meant the whole cast.

I think RossKemp yawns, then they vote out Blunty.

At this point they should murder Miranda, Sharon, Micheal or Bash.

How could he have meant the whole cast when only the traitors commit the murders? That makes no sense.

It made sense to me. As in 'we voted for Brexit' when I most certainly didn't. 'We' being the country as a whole.

It’s not the same. Only traitors can murder. It’s literally impossible for it to apply to the rest of the cast.

GobbolinoAndSootica · 19/10/2026 08:02

I do love these threads, people have such different (and sometimes strongly opposing!) views. Only thing in common is we all think we'd do better than the cast 🤣.

Few I don't get are - why people feel sorry for James A - isn't his entire persona him being neurotic and stressed out? Never seem him on anything where he isn't acting like he is now. Surely being an unwilling traitor is perfect for him?

Other thing is the whole, the idea that Faithfuls should keep Traitors in, because they will just be replaced. Issue with that is that purposely keep a Traitor in (or at least someone you suspect is a Traitor) means a Faithful will be banished. As a Faithful this tactic puts you at risk of going out the game early. There's no advantage at keeping Traitors in until the game is coming to a close - then you need to team up with some Faithfuls, pretend to the Traitors you suspect these Faithfuls, and then together as Faithfuls remove the traitors at the fire pit. (Would still need to sacrifice Faithfuls mind!)

Same, and I am definitely one of the recent James A fan club who has known of him for years but it suddenly has changed

OsfameronTanamoril · 19/10/2026 08:04

I definitely don't think I would do better than either the Traitors or the Faithfuls! Except REG.
But one thing I could do well is be buried in a grave, as I am not claustrophobic at all.

I get your point but I definitely think he didnt slip up, even if we didnt know he was a traitor I knew what he meant

PollyBell · 19/10/2026 08:08

I would definitely pick on something i was suspicious of, happily tell everyone and stand by it but I couldn't do this obessive intesne faithful traitor thing if I was in there

If am wrong I would be wrong but some of the non and celebrities get a little intense

I 100% know would be suspicious myself no matter what i was
