I saw this thread and was like “great it’s started!”, so thought I’d watch the s1 recap first. Did so and realised I have completely forgotten what happened! So I’m going to have to watch s1 again. Has anyone else had to do the same? I’ve not read the thread yet, because of spoilers, and will likely binge s2 after I’ve got round to watching 1 again. I had to do the same with Slow Horses as I couldn’t even remember which series I had got up to, so I’ve just finished watching all 6 series of that now and need something else to watch. I remember I really enjoyed the 1st series of TCIO, and was looking forward to the 2nd, but I have almost a complete blank of the 1st! God, my memory is shot! 😆

@Itsasecretnow i was the same with this. I was driving DH mad confusing Sean bean in another series 🤦‍♀️

Basically in a nutshell series 1 involved them all chopping and changing who was the boss in the drugs gang with Diana wafting around looking lovely but struggling with her secret that she killed her Dad and her mum took the blame so is banged up for it.

Banksey ran Ricardo over as he'd threatened his son.

Elaine spent most of the series looking worried and that's about it.

I have to say again I like it but James Joyce has been on telly promoting it and he keeps saying how great it makes Liverpool and scousers look and I'm not sure it does tbh.

In every interview I have seen this last couple of weeks James Joyce has been asked if he is going to be the next James Bond and he just brushes off the question and changes the subject.
I think that Diane looks fantastic and they really have picked her some nice clothes which suit her and her colouring but agree about Cheryl, she looks like a cross between Alice in Wonderland and a baby.
Looking forward to being in Liverpool tomorrow for River of Lights.
