Another topsy turvy match for Jelena and Leylah- could go either way in the 3rd now.

I like Leylah's kit.

Good first set for Sonay, after going down an early break. I'm torn on this match, as I would have liked Jasmine to end the year with some wins.

I’m torn on this one too. Sonay’s having a great run which is lovely to see on a return from injury, and it would be good to see that run continue. But I also like Jasmine and would like her to get some wins.

I’m also just pleased that I’ve actually got chance to watch some tennis for a change!

I like Jasmine but I'm rooting for Sonay, Italy have so many good players and UK tennis is in a pretty grim spot by comparison.

oof- not going well for Jasmine now. But Sonay heading for a bagel .

Hello, joining thread due to mention the Wimbledon ballot, I was successful for a really good day and court (first time ever getting lucky!). Seats are very high up, are there tips like you might get an opportunity to upgrade on the resale? Im excited for the experience anyway but would obviously love a slightly closer view.

Just seen the scores. Well done Sonay! It's a shame for Jasmine to lose so heavily, as I usually want her to win, but I was backing Sonay today. I think she's moved up about 50 places in the rankings.

It's a ridiculous situation in Shanghai. Only two singles and two doubles matches a day and I think they're split between day and night sessions!! This is the problem with the 10 day Masters events. Bugger all tennis is eked out over the last 4 or 5 days

@Medee congrats on the Wimbledon tickets! Which day/court did you get? There isn't an upgrade option, and if you've been successful in the main ballot you won't be eligible for the resale. But in my experience there are no bad seats on Centre Court, even from the back rows you get a great view.

If you want to see closer action, your ticket also gets you access to any matches happening on the outer courts.

Also forgot to mention, there's a physical resale booth within the grounds where you can put your name down for returns on the other show courts (not the one you already have tickets for). There's a virtual queue and you normally get a notification after about 6pm that seats are available, and you can go and purchase them. From memory they're around £20. They can be anywhere in the stadium, but it's often the posh seats where people leave early.

This isn't really a practical option in the second week of the tournament though, as there are fewer matches and people mostly don't leave early.

Sonay’s jumped up 57 places in the live rankings with that win. Now at 113. If she wins her next match she would go to 87 and back to British No 2 (she’s currently British no 4 but not far off overtaking Emma who’s at 108 in the live rankings/British no 3).

I'd certainly like to see Sonay back up the rankings again- she was doing so well before. I really like her game style.

Hi Medee I think I was on Row ZZ last year and still had a good view - as Ice said there aren’t really any bad seats - the higher seats are usually under cover as well so good if it’s boiling hot! Hope you have a great time

Sonay started well, but Elina has taken the second set and it's 3-2 in the 3rd. Very close.

Casper has started his match against NuRafa- torn on that one, I really want Casper to win- but I would like Rafa to get the points and maybe qualify for the year end finals. But he's got years ahead of him for that. Casper has had a bit of a rough year on court and has dropped down the ranking a fair bit.
