I agree. I know it’s just a tv show but I keep wondering - who on earth thought it was a good idea? I actually feel sorry for Emma because it must make her job so much more difficult. She’s having to anticipate when he might chip in and then laugh along with stuff. She’d be brilliant just on her own. I’m going to have to start fast forwarding sadly as the talking bit upstairs makes me feel uncomfortable due to the awkwardness of it all and the timing/speaking over people issues.

They can't put Josh and JoJo on the floor together, that's a recipe for disaster.

I did enjoy the Josh/Emma interplay. The current set up could work with someone other than JoJo upstairs. Or I suppose he may improve. If he doesn't we won't see him back next year.

Yeah this is true. I really miss him dancing, he was one of my favourites.

Yes I’ve taken to watching a recording so I can skip through the awkward bits. I don’t need to watch uncomfortable viewing.

Jojo was such a fabulous dancer, but he did say that it's not a long lasting career and he was looking for something else. He's intelligent and charming, so I'm sure it'll work.

Its become that the established professional dancers are now more 'celebrities' than the celebrities - which has affected the whole premis of the show. People vote for their favourite professional, regardless of who their celeb is. It's so far removed from what it used to be. I still enjoy it, but i do feel a celebs journey is very much influenced by the popularity of their pro (particularly when we dont actually know who half the celebs are!).

Emma is a total natural and much less wooden and warmer than Tess. So she gets my vote

yet to be convinced by the other two. Josh is clearly there just to insert some comedy. Jojo’s “my dahling” is grating he needs to tone it down. Craig also uses it but is careful not to overuse.

i thought overall standard was excellent. Some marking was far too low IMO. Shame I basically only know who four of them are (Tammy, Dame Sarah, Melanie, Lacey). Thanks the controversies and also the success (and far less of a time commitment) of Traitors, I suppose proper celebs just don’t want to do it anymore.

Hahah this is very true! I’m so disappointed when my faveourite professional doesn’t get a good pairing 🙈
My faves are Diane, Vito, alijaz and katya. I also quite like Mark!

Jo Jo isn’t presenter material and to give him this plum role is an error.

He is a fab dancer, but last night was awful.

He started talking before the couples arrived upstairs and it was drowned out by the cheers it was a guddle.

I thought the judges were hard on Cach. He is new to this , his teacher is new as well and he can only dance what he is taught by her. Maybe someone should have told his partner that the dance wasn’t within the rules and more suited to a couples choice type dance.

His teacher should have known this as well ?
I thought he did well , but obviously a problem with the content not being right.

He may be looking for something else but it’s not all about him.
He didn’t cut the mustard, they must’ve known this from auditions and so on, but still left him to it.
He’s wooden, doesn’t tune into who he’s actually talking to and humourless.
It was a simple choice…Emma downstairs, Josh upstairs.
Agree with others though that it should’ve been Emma & Rylan.

@the80sweregreat his partner is young and new and possibly didn’t realise they would punish style over substance, though that was very much a feature in the Len era, it’s a long while since Len.

@the80sweregreat Cach did a couple’s choice type of dance but not the dance that he was supposed to dance. The contestants are all new to it.

That is the show, they are given a dance and that’s what they should perform otherwise it’s pointless to just come on and dance 🕺 as you wish.

He didn’t take the criticism well, the pro is new but she knows the drill it’s not a new thing …you are given a paso, jive, waltz and that’s what you actually dance and are judged on.

It’s not a free styleeee 😊do whatever.
