Trailer for the new series just dropped - no transmission date yet though.

Anyone else excited to see how Nigella gets on as the new judge? A worthy successor to Pru and Mary, I think.

Isn't Paul very 'mahogany' this time?

PotterHead1985 · 22/09/2026 20:57

I don't mind Alison. I am soso on Noel. I couldn't stand Matt. Loved Mel and Sue

PotterHead1985 · 22/09/2026 20:57

Oh and less said about Sandi the better

Fast800goingforit · 22/09/2026 20:58

I think Paul's had some of the Strictly Venetian Glow.

billysboy · 22/09/2026 20:58

tom should make the final

littlbrowndog · 22/09/2026 20:58

Jeez sticky Willie. I hate that stuff

PotterHead1985 · 22/09/2026 20:59

Aw, we love Alison! I think it's been a warmer and more supportive show since she joined. Matt Lucas never seemed that interested in the baking or the bakers.

I also like Alison and I really didn't like her in anything else before this. I can't stand Noel.

Molly's worktop looks really awkward. She's having to hunch up to use it. I've never seen anyone bake from a wheel chair before but I'd have thought it would be easier with a lap height workbench that the chair could slide under. But maybe this is as good as it gets? Definitely a disadvantage though.

Haha why do you sieve.

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 22/09/2026 21:00

Dani to go home. She’s had the most screen time.

CrushingOnRubies · 22/09/2026 21:00

I thought Paul was asking the woman in the wheelchair “why do you sit?” not “why do you sift?” 😬

I'm still bitter about Sandi's post Bake Off backstabbing comments 😂

That's what DH thought as well 😂

I love Nigella but watching her shovel cake into her gob is giving me Great White Shark vibes.

You can get worktops especially designed for wheelchair users. I’m surprised they didn’t get one installed. Surely the shoes budget could stretch to such a thing.

Sweet jesus how do you not turn your oven on?!

Why does drag have to be shoe horned into everything.

There's always one. I'm waiting for the one who mixes up salt and sugar now.

My granny was an amazing baker who never measured anything. She was born in 1920 in rural Ireland and they could no more have afforded a set of scales than a tiara and a coach and horses. Despite that her sponges/soda bread/scones/pastry and particularly her apple strudel were out of this world. So much so that when she came to London after the war she started working as a cleaner for the Austrian ambassador and ended up making desserts for his formal dinners.

Dairy free buttercream. Heck.

Dairy free buttercream. Heck.

I've made it - wasn't bad, but it was chocolate flavoured using cocoa powder.
