The Bake Is Back - the countdown to Great British Bake Off 2026 starts here

[GetSetFake]

Trailer for the new series just dropped - no transmission date yet though.

Anyone else excited to see how Nigella gets on as the new judge? A worthy successor to Pru and Mary, I think.

I was getting definite vibes, (I have an ND teen).

@Halsall she just asked who doesn't like trifle!! 🤣🤣. My immediate thought was I can think of many!!

Ooh more coffee and walnut cake?!

I love the fact Nigella is taking a great spoonful of each cake while Paul takes a tiny nibble. Never understood how half a teaspoon can give you a proper idea of taste and bake.

Hands up, hate it, hate custard.

Is it just me who thinks coffee and walnut cake is an absolute abomination? 🤮🤮🤮

Nigella loves cake. The end.

Wow one of nigellas best cakes

Yes! Coffee and walnut is the best

Haha just imagining you with Joe Pasquale's monstrosity on Celeb MC!!!

This!!!

Love this cake but we’ll see how they turn out.

She's clearly not on the MC threads (though I do like trifle, personally).

I love C & W too…

Nothing will beat my dearly missed dgm’s coffee and walnut cake. You need Camp coffee - can you still get that? Not watered espresso instant imo

No, not just you! Horrible flavour.

Oh dear Lord, I feel I may have to watch this with the sound muted. They're all so irritating...........!!

My last one needed more walnut.

Who tf doesnt measure in BAKING

Omg Camp coffee!

Reminds me of my Nan ❤️

Someone who doesn't get that it's a science.

I came on this thread to ask is it my eyes or is the image Noel’s top slightly inappropriate? The camera certainly seems to try to avoid the full view.

Exactly

I love to bake but I'd be screwed on this task 🤣 I need a recipe to follow!

Watching Nigella take that bite of coffee cake, what was she doing with her teeth?! She looked like a demented squirrel 🤣

It’s interesting having so many heavy regional accents, can imagine the international viewers will struggle on Netflix on Friday.

We just said the same 😂

The adverts kill me. I miss the BBC at times like these.

That's a lot of coffee and walnut cakes! Struggling with the numbers at this point
