Really not enjoying this week's episode. Couldn't give a fig about their families. A wearable bake is just plain stupid. And now someone has mentioned Christmas 🙄

Hopefully normal service will be resumed next week. Paul and Nigella seem to be warming up to each other though, which is good to see

I guess it tests your ability to create a robust structure that still tastes good. Not a million miles away from cake sculptures which are very much a thing in competitions and online.

See this is where I get frustrated with bakers that can’t bake. Most regular bakers probably have a dozen recipes they know off the top of their head.

What's the point of a wearable bake? This just seems pointless and ridiculous to me.

Does someone actually have to wear these? And then do they have to eat them after they’ve been on someone’s head? I don’t like this at all, such a shame as the bakers are a nice bunch.

Best bit of the showstopper has been Alison attaching donuts to her boobs.

I don't agree. I bake regularly (and have done so for over 40 years) but I like trying out new recipes. I could probably knock up a basic sponge or flapjack without a recipe but I'm not good at remembering quantities.
