Started the new season just by chance, it came up when I was looking for something else so I thought I'd check it out and loved it so stopped and have gone back to series 1.

How has this passed me by! I love stumbling on a random programme and finding out there's old seasons to binge.

1& 2 ok 3 not as good. It is easy watch joy

Series 1 is my favourite.

I missed season three but am watching this and will get back to it.
I've read all the books and loved them for an easy beach read.

I hope it's more story driven and less fighting. I ended up fast-forwarding through loads of the fight scenes the last series because they were so long and frequent.

I agree that series 1 was the best. Series 4 is ok but quite predictable. Fight scenes still quite long. And gruesome. The obligatory sex scene always in episode 3!). Enjoyable but easily forgotten.

I don't think I notice it as much when reading the books, perhaps I skim past it, but saying there's too much fighting in a Reacher is a bit like saying there are too many plants in gardener's world.

I'm still loving in and we had a gratuitous muscle scene as well this week.
Those women with the knives sure are deadly!
We know the character so well now that me and my OH could be script writers as we know what jack is going to say before he says it. Any other program that would make me switch off.

Watch out for Author Lee Child making an appearance at the end of Season 3!

Really enjoying it. Ive read a lot of the books and Alan Ritchson is perfect as Reacher.

It’s not so much the number of fights that bothered me in season three as the the length and complex choreography of them. I think of book Reacher as an efficient and brutal fighter, the fight is done before his opponents have the full measure of who they’re dealing with, and Reacher is back on his mission. The current series is better in that regard.

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar as I've watched more I'm tending to agree actually that the violence has escalated. I don't think Reacher actually kills so many people in the books, sends them to hospital yes.
