We've nearly filled up thread 3 and don't think there was a thread 4?!

Kav and Aidan are brothers, you cannot compare their relationship to that of Julia and Priya. Kav has repeatedly been asked for his opinion in the last few days and he’s given it. But what he’s not been doing is trying to coerce Aidan into coupling up with someone else and constantly making comments behind Aidan’s back.

And I don’t know what you mean by “the other comments” - I responded to your point about Kav being snide and then made my own points. This is not an attack, it’s a discussion.

I've warmed to Simba. He was an idiot, a total tosser, but has at least owned it, and been better since, so his redemption arc is more convincing than it might have been. And he speaks a lot of sense and has a sense of justice.

I think I might want him and Angie to win now as I've always liked her.

The ' news ' that Tommy only finished with his girlfriend two weeks before coming on Love Island has probably lost them being the winners.
How come ' we ' have only heard this ' news ' recently ? was it something during the parents' visits.

The debrief seemed to imply Yas was in a similar situation.....

Sorry, my post isn't v clear - it was this part, "Do you go around telling your friends and family exactly what you think of their partners and their relationships without being asked?"
I thought you meant that I had implied that this would be reasonable.

Of course I don't, and of course I don't think it's reasonable. However, I haven't seen Julia do this - she keeps being asked, she doesn't randomly bring it up at each opportunity.
I feel like it's probably somewhere in the middle of all the posters' thoughts, ie -
constantly repeating the same criticisms; the way she's wording her comments; continually being approached and asked for her opinion; something possibly being lost in translation; and the others (maybe subconsciously) trying to wind her up so she doesn't win.

This is a weird situation. It's not completely clear whether they split 2 weeks before getting the call, or 2 weeks before he applied, or 2 weeks before going in 🤔
‘No, I was previously in a relationship with someone but I told her I was doing this and yeah, we left it sweet.' He went on to add, ‘It was quite recent, but we’d split up maybe a few weeks before.’

Also, tbf to Tommy, he wouldn't have split from her if he was in love and she was his happy-ever-after. Sounds like he'd have split from her either way

Julia -"I'm good just wanted to catch up with you following last night and the clip I saw and you had a chat with Lorenzo so wondering how did that go and what's happening"
Jas - "it was cute tbh, he grabbed cos he wanted to say sorry for certain things like misjudging me at the start and wanted to check me and Kav are good"
Julia - "that's nice, ok. Cos obviously I saw those clips last night and now I'm seeing this and I'm thinking are you trying to get his attention cos obviously you had the whole affair thing, and with priyas situation you weren't very honest with the Jordon situation. I feel like you've been going behind people's back and I have zero tolerance for that"

Which part of the above exchange shows Jas asking for her opinion, and who sounds like the "mean girl" based on that conversation?? Are people not watching the same show?

Thank you! And that’s when Jaz just shut it down. I don’t know what people are hearing but Julia is literally going around the villa insulting all the girls and calling them names. She is so insecure and thinks everyone is after Lorenzo.

But Julia is obv nervous about Jaz and Lorenzo, and was asking what had happened. Julia was entitled to ask if Jaz was trying to get his attention. She used the prev situations as reasons to doubt her word. Again, it wasn't just a random conversation.

That's fine, but people are saying that she only gives opinions when asked, which is clearly not true. Also, the Priya and Jordon situation has nothing to do with her, so why bring that in to the mix!

Jas told her that Lorenzo pulled her, not the other way around. She also saw that with her own eyes
So how does that entitle Julia to think that Jas did it for attention? Jas isn't the one that did the pulling!

Hmm, but after the grafties, she was asking if she was trying to get Lorenzo's attention. I wouldn't have done it myself, but she's entitled to ask if she wants to.
She didn't really believe what she said, so mentioned that she hadn't been honest about the Priya-Jordon situation, so was basically saying Jaz can't be trusted to be honest - it wasn't a random "here's my opinion about another couple"

I think there's a lot of things being said that aren't making the cameras which is also what Lola alluded to. Julia's playing an absolute blinder to manage to come across as a victim!

All of this is because Julia doesn’t trust Lorenzo, and rather than focusing on why that is, she is taking all her frustrations out on some of the other girls, which is unfair. If Lorenzo has a chat with Mica today, Julia will start calling her fake too. It’s quite sad really.

I agree. The other girls (including Lola) tried to shut things down so many times and Julia just won’t let things go. I genuinely think she shouldn’t be in the villa as she seems to really be struggling. She is coming across as very paranoid.

On another note, I love that she keeps going on about Priya playing a game. Ummm it is a game! They all want to win, why else would they be there?

She was giving her opinion about her own situation there.
And people are mostly just referencing her opinion on Priya and Aiden when they say she's only giving her opinion when asked, because people keep asking why is she repeating her opinion on them so much!
The Jas, Jordan and Priya situation makes Jas look untrustworthy as a friend, so it's relevant because it's why Julia doesn't trust her.
Anyone is entitled to think whatever they want. Jas didn't pull Lorenzo and wasn't looking for his attention, but it's not a crazy thing for Julia to ask.

Jaz then asks her for her opinion on her - the conversation continues beyond that. But either way I don’t see anything wrong with Julia explaining why she wanted to chat to her. Then Jaz asks her to be honest about what she thinks of her and then she shuts it down after that.

I honestly don’t see what’s wrong with the quoted chat other than Julia is clearly paranoid that everyone is after Lorenzo but it would be odd if she didn’t explain why she was worried about it.

I cba to look back at the convo so who knows I may be wrong but the main criticism and latest topic has been around her opinions of Priya and Aiden and I haven’t see her comment on this without someone specifically asking her. Again I may be wrong but that’s what I recall! I think she’s great. Clearly opinion is divided!

Julia definitely passive aggressive and stirring constantly… but LOVE who she does it to cause they’re all nasty bullies and they deserve someone like her !
