Fery is doing well, but there are much higher profile matches in play, and even Wimbledon is not going to prioritise a Brit over those. He's not even playing a 'big' ish name (sorry Zizou).

I think 18 is quite a good court for new players- it's 'showy' but not.
It would be great for Arthur to get through, without the pressure of number 1 or Centre . That didn't help Emma Raducanu when she ended up playing on a show court a few rounds in, in her 'breakout year' . It can be too intimidating. The boy has sense.

I like Felix- but sorry mate, (even as someone who watches everything, every week), I can't work out how he's number 3. I think it's a combination of him doing a bit better, and a lot of players who had points to drop , getting injured and withdrawing.

It is definitely going to be a difficult match to watch, as a fan of both. So I'm hoping it will be won (by whoever) in 4 sets.. Straight sets would be too brutal, and 5 sets too sad for the one who has to lose. At least 4 sets means that one played their part.

That's my logic.

Joe is currently playing mixed doubles with Leylah vs Cash and Schuurs, who are seeded. Nothing against Julian but I want Joe to win at least one match in the Championships!

Flavio Cobolli started badly in his , bagelled in the first set by Khachanov. Seems to be doing a bit better in the second (it's going with serve at least!).

Settling in to watch Fery on Beeb 1, but it's going to overlap with Grigor/Matteo, isn't it? It's at this kind of point I always want to clone myself for the multiple experiences. 😂
