Just binged the first four.

Very much the fare as before with a sprinkling of Real Housewives, some gamers and participants from shows such as Survivor and Big Brother. Maura Higgins represents this side of the pond.

I was amused during the previous series by how the Housewives in particular didn't like, against all logic, voting against each other. Loyalty versus reason. So it will be interesting to see how that pans out for them this time.

I’d only watched the first two episodes when I posted that! The rest of it has been an eye opener!!

According to Wikipedia, he's said he will be running for Mayor of New York City in 2029, so he's clearly a modest, self-deprecating chap with no ambitions whatsoever in the political arena.🤔

Am I the only one that liked Michael on the traitors?🙈 at the least, I found him very amusing!

Rob is annoying me seriously now. All that nonsense about how he couldn't vote for Colton because he's his buddy, he couldn't vote for Ron because he's a good bloke, but he could vote for the woman who is supposed to be his colleague and with whom he is supposed to work against the likes of Ron and Colton. He's coming over as more and more misogynist.

I really hope he doesn't win.

Well he only voted for her because he'd realised by that stage she was out to get him so it was self-preservation. Like him or not, he's playing a blinding game.

Rob is playing a great game. The other two traitors were acting like they'd never watched traitors before. All traitors backstab when the time is right.

But at that stage she wasn't. There was simply no sense in not voting for Ron or Colton. All he achieved was to make her and Candiace start targeting him - which obviously didn't work for them, but it brings him into the picture when he was way out of it before.

And what a surprise that when it came to recruiting he only considered blokes. I really hope Eric wins.

I've almost never seen a Traitors (and I've seen various formats because I'm a geek) where a Traitor doesn't recruit someone of their own gender. Not saying it's right, but it's interesting.

I think the point is that Rob wanted to be at the finale with people who absolutely trusted him - he's playing the game really well and it isn't misogyny at all.

Finally caught up.

I think Rob is perhaps the first contestant I've witnessed that is actually truly viewing this as a game. The other players are like bots he has to defeat to win the prize. Sure he has friends like Colton, but Colton was just collateral damage in the end. Can no longer use Colton, revise strategy.

Oh yes she was. She'd voted for him the night before as what she'd described as a 'throwaway' vote and didn't suspect him, then the next day immediately changed tack on that and started implicating him as a traitor with sudden trumped-up new found evidence. Unfortunately for her, everyone else thought what she was doing was seriously dodgy and very suspicious. Which it was, but not for the reason the others thought it was!😂

Yes. He wasn't going to recruit anyone who was either very bright and could get rid of him (and one or two of the women would be capable of that), nor was he going to recruit the other women who all trusted him implicitly and thought he was a Faithful, so they could walk into the final thinking he was too. He wasn't going to recruit any of the men likely to want to get rid of him either so he chose someone trusted by everyone else who seriously wants to win and didn't suspect him at all, but who might have sussed him out eventually anyway. Smart cookie.

Just a thought - some of us watched the India version of Traitors and spotted what appeared to be blatant manipulation to affect the outcome.

There was a point last night where I wondered if the same was going on here.

At the top of the hill task, Rob had to ask five people if they had the dagger. We saw a clip of him saying he can easily spot when someone's lying. When he asked Natalie if she had it, the camera paused and zoomed right in on her face, and showed her hesitating and licking her lips before answering. Rob immediately guessed she was lying.

Meh - might be just me but I'm slightly suspicious.

No, that was Candiace. My post was about his original vote for Lisa, when in fact Ron ended up going anyway so it achieved nothing.

I've watched up to episode 8 but can't see when the next episode will be available to watch. Any ideas?

Episode 9 is on BBC3 at 9pm tomorrow, episode 10 is straight afterwards. After they've been broadcast, they will also be on i-player.

I checked all BBC channels apart from Three. Doh!

Everyone up to date?

I've watched the latest episodes. Wish they'd made one of the pair of ice skaters a traitor. They rely on each other so much. I fear they are destined for the chop.

Still slightly suspicious that there's a chosen one.

The skaters do seem a little childlike in their codependent bubble. But I guess Johnny did mention that they didn’t have a normal childhood due to skating so early.

I unfortunately saw a spoiler towards the beginning of my watch as I hadn’t realised it had been on much earlier in the US. So it’s strange watching it knowing what’s going to happen, but I’m still enjoying it, especially now all of the housewives have gone.

@mehday I've been avoiding spoilers, which must be out there aplenty, so I haven't looked at anything online about any of the contestants just in case.

We'll find out soon enough. 🙂

Final episode now up on iplayer, plus the ridiculous "reunion" show. Alan's choice of outfits are... interesting. As is Maura's in the final.
