So the 'Who Killed Theo' saga carries on. I think we should find out who it is soon... Fit Kit and Swain are on the case still. (For what its worth!) 😆

Poor Sam has been sectioned, and is quite unwell, and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Gary and Sarah are in cahoots about something, (related to Theo's death, I think.) Oh, and Maria thinks they're having an affair.

Some random lads are chasing and threatening Brodeh. Who knows why!

Ma Driscoll has been quiet for a while.

Will is still sneakily staying in touch with Megan Trainer!

Alya's cousin Idris (who has never been mentioned before AFAIK) has appeared on the street, and has been seeing Leanne.

Carl, Kevin, and dishy Ronnie have buried the hatchet (for now! Hopefully it lasts!)

And what is Jodie going to do with Carl's gun?!

I agree with the poster upthread that said it’s great to highlight awareness for cases like Betsy, but who in that age bracket watches Corrie? I feel like I need to have a conversation with DD about this as she’s never going to watch it and doubt, even if it was all over social media, she would read it.

I feel the same with DS who has just turned 18.

I watch Classic Corrie from time to time and wonder whatever happened to Dev's older daughter Amber?

Didn't Amber go off to Oxford or Cambridge with great fanfare, never to be seen again.

Dev is heavily invested in his new wife's grandson but has loads of his own children he never bothers about

She was a good character, at least worth a mention by her dad from time to time 😁

Besides Amber who was brilliant and the twins did Dev have other kids? He did have assorted ladyfriends in his retail empire?
I think Mad Maya should be out of prison now. Recommence her reign of terror.

I think that Dev had at least 2 exs with 2 dc each, but it might have been as many as 3 women. Iirc it was a storyline that was cobbled together as the actor who played his wife was leaving the show.

I am sure when Amber reappeared it was suggested that Dev had several affairs with women who worked in his shops and had produced many little shop assistants

That was all very exciting...Dev and his empire that we knew nothing of...but it vanished in a moment. Amber needs to return and prevent Jawseph taking her inheritance.

Who would he be paying child maintenance for? Has he got another child somewhere. I completely missed that.

I must have missed loads. I've got no memory of that. I do remember he had a few shops but missed the kids.

Dev has a grandchild through his first daughter, Shareen. Then came daughter Amber, then the twins - Asha and Aadi. He’s also know to have “2 other children” (which I guess gives the writers some scope in the future!)

So all grown up. I don't know if I had a gap in watching as I don't remember any of them

I think its more to bring it to the attention of parents of kids around Betsy and Dylans age, rather than the kids themselves.

The scene in the shop with Dev and Bernie was where they said the necessary to let us know they were really pain the school fees.

As for Brodie being better looking than Dylan, just why? If someone said Bethany was better looking than Jodie it would seem bitchy, and just as irrelevant.

I am not sure why teens would watch Corrie.

Corrie teens never have much fun and are always beaten up, abused or hit by some illness.

If they show any ambition it is slapped down.

Getting a college place outside of Manchester is a real kiss of death.

We all knew poor Betsy was doomed after that London School of Fashion wanted her.

There was a time a few years back when they seemed determined to make Gemma into a major much-loved character, and they had her shoehorned into everything and featured her in multiple daft storylines. It didn’t work, obviously, as viewers just didn’t warm to her, but I think that period is the origin of the quads. It started as a sort of comedy storyline, but I don’t think they thought how it would work out practically. Hence we never see them - which is just unrealistic.
Gemma’s still incredibly irritating though. And Chesney is also a bit of a spare part who doesn’t really add much.
