So the 'Who Killed Theo' saga carries on. I think we should find out who it is soon... Fit Kit and Swain are on the case still. (For what its worth!) 😆

Poor Sam has been sectioned, and is quite unwell, and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Gary and Sarah are in cahoots about something, (related to Theo's death, I think.) Oh, and Maria thinks they're having an affair.

Some random lads are chasing and threatening Brodeh. Who knows why!

Ma Driscoll has been quiet for a while.

Will is still sneakily staying in touch with Megan Trainer!

Alya's cousin Idris (who has never been mentioned before AFAIK) has appeared on the street, and has been seeing Leanne.

Carl, Kevin, and dishy Ronnie have buried the hatchet (for now! Hopefully it lasts!)

And what is Jodie going to do with Carl's gun?!

Sorry if I've missed anything!

I have never been a Betsy fan but I think she's doing a pretty good job tonight.

Yes, her stroke victim portrayal is very good.

My laptop packed up 5 minutes before the end. I saw Betsy talking but missed the end. Can someone enlighten me please

Basically, Lisa (Betsy's mum) went for Dylan at the hospital (after the doctor revealed that Betsy's carotid artery has been damaged slightly, and this is why she had the stroke(s.)

Betsy admitted that Dylan had choked her during sex - she said she consented, but still it's very dangerous. As he was the one who choked her during sex, Lisa went for him and said 'how about I choke you eh?' And then she started sobbing into Carla's shoulder and the end credits rolled up....

That Ross man is horrible isn’t he.

Yes. he is vile.

I don't know WHY they had to bring him in. Tyrone's long lost dad, who didn't even know he had a son. And Ruby and Hope setting up Tyrone to meet him (by stealing Tyrone's DNA) is a stupid storyline IMO. Tyrone has never expressed an interest in meeting his dad (never heard him anyway!) so why would they do this? I'd be horrified and angry in equal measures if someone did this to me!

I am already bored beyond tears of Tyrone's reinvented back story.

First, we had Evelyn then Cassie who I don't mind but only after they had settled in we could forget all the nonsense

Now they are digging it up again

thenightsky · 16/07/2026 12:41

Yes, how on earth did the two girls get Ty's DNA? Hey dad, open your mouth so we can wipe this swab around the inside of your cheek for a laugh?

That could have worked

It is Tyrone - not the hardest guy to outwit

I dunno on Eastenders Sharon took it off someone’s toothbrush to test who was the father of her baby!

😆LOL!!!

Seriously though, maybe his hair? From his hairbrush? Although I think the hair has to be plucked (and have the root still on it.) You can also get DNA from nail clippings, and toothbrushes - both a bit gross! 😖

So I do wonder how they did it. Or actually, do I want to know? 😬

It is actually a criminal offence to do this without someone's consent, but this is Corrie! (And inexplicably Tyrone doesn't seem to mind!)

Maybe Hope has issues about not knowing her dad, as he's dead. She might think the chance to meet your father would be something special. To be honest my dad died when I was a child and I can understand why she might think that.

But the fact that no one has spoken to Hope and Ruby about the consequences of their actions or made them apologise is poor parenting. Hope is rude to everyone and there are never any repercussions.

Can't quite believe I'd be on the same page as Hope. I had my dad for a bit longer than her but Id like to have known him as an adult not a little girl. Id love him to have seen my kids and the GS who is so like him. Who knows with Hope.

I wasn’t sure why people think they missed an episode either? Kit and Sarah conversation went on from where they’d left off etc.

also I’m really angry about Ross blackmailing Cassie - so it be awful for her if Ty found out she used to be a prostitute but no shame for Ross being found out to use prostitutes??! Gross.

Also wouldn’t Ross look like an abuser so not showing himself in a good light as she was a teenager

I hate the blackmail storylines as they seem to happen most weeks in soaps - yawn

Triskellion75 · 16/07/2026 17:03

I'm not usually a Lisa fan but her distress made me tear up.

eggandonion · 16/07/2026 17:38

Ryan needs a lovely partner and a baby. Maybe a spinoff series where he manages the hotel with some input from Ronnie.
Why doesn't Steve move out? I missed the arrival of Ross episode so Im ignoring him.

the80sweregreat · 16/07/2026 17:42

Ryan is nice isn’t he. I’m glad that he binned off Jodie that time.

Bettyfromlondon · 16/07/2026 18:00

By chance I have been in a spoiler-free zone recently and so I was completely shocked by yesterday's Betsy-stroke-choking story line. It has quite upset me, particularly as I liked the growing relationship between Betsy and Dylan.

JMSA · 16/07/2026 18:22

I am genuinely surprised - in a nice way - by those of you who cry during Corrie. I don’t think it would occur to me, as I never think of it as being real. That’s probably the wrong way of putting it, but you know what I mean.
If anything, I found the date scenario really weird.
Closest I got to being moved was probably when Mason was dying and asked for his mum 😢
Maybe I’m just heartless 😁

the80sweregreat · 16/07/2026 18:27

I’ve been known to be teary occasionally during a soap back in the day , but it is rare these days!

HaddyAbrams · 16/07/2026 18:32

I cry at all sorts, adverts, books, Corrie. Blush

JewelleryCat · 16/07/2026 18:38

I got teary when Aidan did what he did and Johnny finding him afterwards

LesserSpottedCharacter · 16/07/2026 18:43

I'm terrible for crying if someone else is crying not if I don't like them though, my ex would weep buckets for himself for hours at a time - left me stone cold. Not in all circumstances either, if it's whoever's voted of Bake Off - meh. There was someone on telly last week who was crying, I didn't know them or the story, I was just passing through, but they set me off.

Last night was because my lovely friend had a stroke a few years ago and Betsy got it just right. And it was also upsetting in a general what has the world come to way.

I didn't cry, but it did punch me in the chest. Betsy having a stroke, at 18, then Lisa's heartbreaking reaction of devastation and then sheer anger (at Dylan,) then the reason it happened... being choked during sex. Shock

Yes likewise as Dylan seemed decent
