So the 'Who Killed Theo' saga carries on. I think we should find out who it is soon... Fit Kit and Swain are on the case still. (For what its worth!) 😆

Poor Sam has been sectioned, and is quite unwell, and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Gary and Sarah are in cahoots about something, (related to Theo's death, I think.) Oh, and Maria thinks they're having an affair.

Some random lads are chasing and threatening Brodeh. Who knows why!

Ma Driscoll has been quiet for a while.

Will is still sneakily staying in touch with Megan Trainer!

Alya's cousin Idris (who has never been mentioned before AFAIK) has appeared on the street, and has been seeing Leanne.

Carl, Kevin, and dishy Ronnie have buried the hatchet (for now! Hopefully it lasts!)

And what is Jodie going to do with Carl's gun?!

Sorry if I've missed anything!

Carla constantly touching Lisa. Works drive me nuts.

Wishimaywishimight · 15/07/2026 21:45

I have never been a Betsy fan but I think she's doing a pretty good job tonight.

Wishimaywishimight · 15/07/2026 21:55

Ok, that whole 'date' scenario was bonkers!

HaddyAbrams · 15/07/2026 21:56

I watched tonight's episode at lunchtime.
I think they're covering a really important topic, and I think Betsy did a really good job today. Ryan is a sweetheart! I love him. Let's hope they do it well. Probably not.

However, I think the age group who need to see this message probably aren't watching Corrie.

JewelleryCat · 15/07/2026 22:09

I liked that episode. I agree Betsy did a good job because it must be hard to act like someone who has had a stroke but like others, I doubt if Corrie will get the message right because they haven’t with other issue storylines before like rushing Sam’s psychosis. Mind you, Emmerdale if you watch it hasn’t been much better at the moment

bizzey · 15/07/2026 22:12

I saw the spoilers this morning.
I didn't think it was the right storyline for Betsy but I was wrong .
I thought she done well tonight and so did Lisa .
Carla was just fecking annoying !!

It may not be a PSA to the correct age group ..but hopefully it will help the parents to be aware and help ?

Tracey isa right skank !!

Ken should have had a ticket to her Graduation instead of Tracey !

Mollypolly2610 · 15/07/2026 22:19

My laptop packed up 5 minutes before the end. I saw Betsy talking but missed the end. Can someone enlighten me please

sorryIdidntmeanto · 15/07/2026 22:36

Why is everyone always so angry at hospital staff? This storyline is very close to home. Not the choking, but the stroke. I would (did) hang on to every word the professionals said and try to understand it all, not argue with them.

This! If I was Lisa I’d have to always have a big stick to hit her away

the80sweregreat · 15/07/2026 22:45

That Ross man is horrible isn’t he.

JewelleryCat · 15/07/2026 22:48

@sorryIdidntmeanto I’m sorry to hear you have personal experience. For me, I didn’t think Lisa was angry at the doctor, I think she was just trying to comprehend how and why her healthy 18 year old could have had a stroke with no warning. I understand that anyone can have one and you don’t have to be overweight etc

It is a soap thing, it is worse on EastEnders.

I hate it too just seems so rude.

The doctor did a great job in ignoring her outbursts

Tracy seems a bit desperate

and bringing him back to that house with her dad, daughter and ex husband there

couldn't they have gone to the hotel?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 16/07/2026 00:25

Credit where it’s due to Betsy or Sydney I should say her performance was excellent. I ugly cried watching to night.

JellyBeanSpring25 · 16/07/2026 00:34

Good episode tonight, well acted and written. I’ve just watched behind the scenes with the two young actors and they spent 3-weeks perfecting the dance and flashback scenes.

I told you upthread Tracy & Ross would get it on! And I hadn’t seen any spoiler. She’s a brazen one that Tracy, sat round the breakfast table with her daughter and Dad ‘meeting’ her overnight guest!!! Grandma Deirdre would NOT have approved.

bizzey · 16/07/2026 00:36

We know she doesn't want Ross ..she just wants to shot stir for Cassie.

I have a feeling that Cassie is going to have the last laugh in this scenario !!

strugglingwithlife · 16/07/2026 08:23

It was a bit disjointed, feels like we missed an episode

A few people have said that but I didn’t think so. Did you all watch the double-episode? The first one (first 23mins) showed Kit & Sara and also Betsy’s first stroke and initial bedside vigils. The second half (next ep) was Betsy’s second strike, Drs suspicions and the flashback/dance with Dylan explaining it all.

eggandonion · 16/07/2026 09:17

It always seems disjointed when it goes arty.
It is an awful subject...I had to explain it to my husband. There has been a recent case in the papers here. A citizen has been convicted of murder in another jurisdiction...his defence was that she wanted to do it. Lots of discussion on whether someone can give consent if they can't speak. It's terrifying.

Wishimaywishimight · 15/07/2026 21:55

Ok, that whole 'date' scenario was bonkers!

They played it how Betsy was seeing it in her head, her struggling to get the words etc, not that that was the actual date and how it went.

the80sweregreat · 16/07/2026 09:54

Playing someone with speech difficulties must be hard enough as it is, let alone a young actor who probably hasn’t been around people who have had a stroke.
She did well I thought.

LesserSpottedCharacter · 16/07/2026 10:32

Wow, that was some episode, not an easy watch. I thought Sydney Martin did very well, it was very realistic.

Apart from the usual shouting at staff as PPs have mentioned. Could they not, just for once, have people behaving normally, or even well! People watch this and think it's how they're supposed to act, or allowed to. It's not okay.

I take it then that they're saying non fatal strangulation happens between loving couples, as Dylan was shown to have been very thoughtful, caring and loving with the stuff he was taking to Betsy in hospital? But young folk today think it's the norm, because porn.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 16/07/2026 10:41

Yeah and Betsy said it’s normal everyone does it. Horrible.

ajandjjmum · 16/07/2026 10:43

I felt that the Dr. totally understood why Lisa was coming across as so angry - I bet medics are used to seeing that type of reaction that essentially stems from fear.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 16/07/2026 10:44

I wasn’t sure why people think they missed an episode either? Kit and Sarah conversation went on from where they’d left off etc.

also I’m really angry about Ross blackmailing Cassie - so it be awful for her if Ty found out she used to be a prostitute but no shame for Ross being found out to use prostitutes??! Gross.
