So the 'Who Killed Theo' saga carries on. I think we should find out who it is soon... Fit Kit and Swain are on the case still. (For what its worth!) 😆

Poor Sam has been sectioned, and is quite unwell, and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Gary and Sarah are in cahoots about something, (related to Theo's death, I think.) Oh, and Maria thinks they're having an affair.

Some random lads are chasing and threatening Brodeh. Who knows why!

Ma Driscoll has been quiet for a while.

Will is still sneakily staying in touch with Megan Trainer!

Alya's cousin Idris (who has never been mentioned before AFAIK) has appeared on the street, and has been seeing Leanne.

Carl, Kevin, and dishy Ronnie have buried the hatchet (for now! Hopefully it lasts!)

And what is Jodie going to do with Carl's gun?!

Sorry if I've missed anything!

I think it was mould under the bed. Alfie has really bad cough which I think is due to conditions in flat. Another important storyline. A little boy died a few years back due to issues of mould in rented flat / house that belonged to housing association!

@SabreIsMyFave if you want your Peter fix, he’s just turned up with Simon in Classic

Hope you’re feeling better now @SabreIsMyFave x

Awww, thank you. Smile Nasty strep throat virus. Knocked me sideways and put me on my back for 2.5 days! (Felt rough for 3 days before/sore and swollen throat.) I'm nowhere near back to normal, and can't eat anything other than pot rice and yogurt and ice cream, and sliced strawberries! But I feel a bit better. I think it'll be another 3 days or so before I can eat normal-ish again.

What was that under wee Alfie's bed right at the end? Or am I just overthinking a wanky camera angle? DH walked in, talking, and I looked away from the screen for a second.

Yes I wondered that. I did wonder if it was mould, as @TipsyPeachSnake said (because of the storyline,) but I couldn't quite make it out.

This storyline seems to have come out of nowhere. Did I miss something? I don't recall Abi mentioning the mould in the flat before this week. And coincidently Idris is the landlord!

I thought Abi was back living with Kevin. I can't keep up with them!
But yeah the weird camera angle was to highlight black mould under Alfie's bed explaining his cough.

Simon is really adorable, shame he didn’t stay that way lol

Shellingbynight · 04/07/2026 08:40

I thought the Abi story had come out of nowhere too. I also thought she was back living with Kevin! I suppose she soon will be, as this storyline will probably end up with Alfie hospitalised and Kev asks them to live with him again.

Thank goodness the Megan nonsense is over.

(Hope you're feeling better @SabreIsMyFave )

Id forgotten about Nick stealing from Audrey, I think it got mixed up in my head with Stephen.

eggandonion · 04/07/2026 09:23

I think Steven sold her house. I can't remember what Nigel Havers did.

LesserSpottedCharacter · 04/07/2026 09:25

Sorry to hear you've not been well @SabreIsMyFave 💐

As soon as we saw that Leanne was within feet of Abi making the ninth but first we've heard of it phone call to the nasty landlord it was so obvious it was going to be Idris. What a surprise 🙄. The wee lad was good at the chesty cough though.

I forgot to say the other day I liked the interaction between David and Kit in the pub. Normally jokes about things people can't help leave me cold but David has a great delivery, if that's the right expression.

TheignT · 04/07/2026 09:30

Yes David is very good. Dry sense of humour brilliantly delivered.

But she didn't know that Idris was the landlord..

I think @zanahoria may have meant that it's a bit of a coincidence that Idris happened to be just 3 yards away from Abi when she rang this 'unknown landlord.' Up to this point, she hadn't seen or met her landlord. And what an amazing coincidence that he was just right there when she rang him! 😆

Sorry to hear you've not been well @SabreIsMyFave 💐

Thank you. 😘 Still not feeling great, but on the mend. The antibiotics have pretty much blown the throat infection out of the water, but the after affects are making me feel bleugh! 😖 Like so tired and weary with very little energy. Onwards and upwards!

Hmmmm, I thought this too. 'Ooooh, what a surprise, it's IDRIS who is the crappy landlord!' Shock And yes, the chesty cough was good from Abi's little boy.

Yes the 'what's the weather like up there,' and 'short' jokes bouncing between them were quite funny, because that's what men do with each other. It looked like they wanted to laugh. 😆

I'd forgotten as well!

From the wiki corrie fandom page.

I think it was mould under Abi's son's bed and the teddy she handed him had been laid on it, so was contaminated.

Shellingbynight · 04/07/2026 10:39

It's a bit odd for mould to be under a bed isn't it? Whenever I have experienced mould in a property it has been on the exterior walls, not hiding under the bed.

So we got rid of Theo and Megan (and Carl is semi-rehabilitated) and our new villain is Idris.

sorryIdidntmeanto · 04/07/2026 10:45

No, mould can be anywhere. We had it inside wardrobes in a rented place in the past. It is odd to have got worse over the summer though. Still highlighting a really important issue. I hope Alfie is going to be ok.

Shellingbynight · 04/07/2026 11:02

Oh yes agreed, definitely in wardrobes or cupboards as it’s an enclosed unventilated space. Under bed seemed odd though.

i expect they will deal with it as well as they did with Megan - badly!

sorryIdidntmeanto · 04/07/2026 11:22

Ok, I see what you mean

eggandonion · 04/07/2026 11:47

I think the mould will add drama to Idris and Leanne....and enable Kevin to ride in on a white horse and rescue Abi and Alfie.

Yes and then as soon his phone rings she just assumes that it was her call oh is phone

OK it was but could have been anyone
