Anyway, season 5 has dropped today, and whether you like Jeremy or not, he does highlight most how difficult it is to be a farmer in this day and age

It would be interesting to know if news of the dam scheme was already known by every farmer who could take advantage if it ?

It would be an almost insulting question if you didn't know that there are (checks notes) £20 billion goes unclaimed every year.

The dam scheme looks as impenetrable as the Higher Level Stewardship scheme.

I enjoyed the Christmas episode in particular.

I don't know what went wrong with the squirrels! We cook them in a similar way and they taste fine, a bit like rabbit.

JC is on Facebook tonight to say the last 2 episodes are a difficult watch.

I like Charlie- he feels like the perfect foil for Jeremy.
It’s a very interesting watch - he acknowledges that he’s in a luckier position financially than many farmers. Fair play to putting the hours in though, birthing the animals.
I too, assumed those techy tractors were loaned or hired, and was surprised he hadn’t paid more for his Lamborghini tractor!

The food looked horrible! I don’t like unusual food items. I probably wouldn’t have ate any of it ( probably wouldn’t have been invited anyway ! lol)

I think Endgame goes after the TB outbreak 😞

I didn’t know about TB outbreak. That would mean a cull of End Game, the cattle including the babies and the goats? Not sure about the sheeps.

Ridiculous re the twinning cow and TB - can understand why Jeremy is fuming. Quite a somber end to the series but still enjoyed it .

It's all over the news. Prostate but aggressive. However. .....diagnosed in May (?2025 ?2024) so.....fingers crossed the treatment has gone well

I’ve been rewatching the entire series and the episode where the pig gives birth, and she’s insisting the pig will only have a certain amount of babies because not all the teats are filled with
milk.

Harriet even says that’s not how it works…you give birth to a baby, and you don’t have one breast fill up, but Lisa insists that is how it works..

Gotta be scripted? No one can be that dumb can they?

They definitely need a better way to diagnose bovine TB…

I think it’s 100% scripted. Especially the stuff Kaleb was coming out with regarding the channel tunnel.

Kaleb does seem to be very quick with “who’s that?” at common knowledge people, before throwing out totally absurd suggestions to who he thinks it is

Poor Jeremy! Heart disease and now cancer.

I thought that he looked a lot thinner , but assumed it was because of the jabs and a better diet.
It is sad he has this diagnosis when it was his heart last year. It doesn’t sound great :(

To be fair it was filmed a year ago and he looks quite well in himself still on recent instagram posts, heres hoping he’s kicking cancers arse. He is a real asset to the British farming community, we cannot afford to loose Jermery.

I’m sure that he’ll beat this and yes , it was a year ago he had this diagnosis. I think that prostate cancer has a good prognosis, but only from what I’ve read.
