Falling , spoiler thread..

It’s currently on channel four for six episodes and stars Keeley Hawes.
The main thread wasn’t too impressed with the first two , but thought I’d start a spoiler one separately as only fair.
Despite a slow start , I did enjoy it and the acting was very good! I know nothing about nuns or how they live , I assume none of that was particularly true to life, but it was so well acted and I did enjoy it a lot. Not too much swearing, no sex scenes and some nice soul searching by the ones who will have to try and navigate a different life.

I just binge watched the whole series overnight and loved it. I recognised a number of the actors, having seen them in other dramas, and having been brought up asap Catholic and having had nuns teaching at our schools, with masses being held once a week at school by the local priest it was all familiar to me.

Nuns, like monks, live in various kinds of orders, some where they cannot speak, others where they work in the community in various ways.

We don't see many in schools any more..

Where I live there really was a scandal where a divorced mother left town and lived with her former local priest. I can't remember if they actually married or just lived together.
