Proposed rule changes to scoring (again)

Rule change to prevent a country at war / significant security concerns from hosting automatically. Substitute country will not have to work with winners (so no UK with Ukraine scenario again)

This is a significant step up in Israel rigging proofing. The sponsorship change almost certainly will be a decisive factor in this.

I expect the Netherlands to rejoin. The others may do so but I think this is aimed at getting the boycotters back.

I suspect the past couple.of years have given them time to road test the benefits of various changes, and they've decided that nudging Israel out is the easiest option at this stage.

None of the changes by themselves are terminal, but it makes it far less appealing for them to try to win.

Avrotros stated they won’t be doing Eurovision for Netherlands for 2027. No other org has come forward (as yet) to take on that mantle. I think the way the situation around Joost Klein was handled was a large factor in the breach as well.
