So finally the Megan/Will storyline is coming to an end! Sam is still not well though, poor lad...

Connor-Swain and Fit Kit are busy trying to find Theo's killer, and everyone Todd is close to is taking it in turns to babysit him!

Tim is trying to come to terms with the realisation that the thing he had with an older woman (Trisha) 40 years ago, (when he was 14) was actually abuse...

Shona's sister Jodie has managed to push herself into Daniel's house (and his life,) and seems to flit from place to place, with no actual luggage or money!

I know there's probably more... Smile

Ooh interesting theory!

After tonight’s episode I fear he may turn on his family. Are hallucinations a symptom of bipolar or schizophrenia? Whatever he has seems very serious and needs help before he does some serious damage (if he hasn’t already)

Hallucinations aren’t always bipolar or schizophrenia. I have them all the time, and I hear things, see angels, get bugs on my skin all sorts.

SabreIsMyFave · 14/05/2026 21:50

So, it looks like Summer is leaving then? Sad I was really starting to like her too. Her character was really developing well.

But isn't she in the line up of people who are suspected of killing Theo?

Also, a lot of people seem to have overheard Ma Driscoll saying she accidently pushed Pa Driscoll down the stairs. 🤔

Megan better not bloody well get away with this, because Ma convinces Will to withdraw his statement! She has told Ben about it though. So maybe she will tell the police? Before Megan does.....?

Even so, Ma could say nothing, and if Megan says anything, how on earth is she going to prove it?

Bit of a silly storyline this IMO.

Oh yes, I forgot. Poor Sam now hallucinating that Toyah and his dad (Nick) are saying nasty things about him. Oh dear. 😢

I did like the way Ma Driscoll killed two blackmailers with one stone

Ben will have forgiven her by next week, he got over Big Jim being his real dad quick enough

SabreIsMyFave · 14/05/2026 21:57

LOL true @zanahoria ! (About Ben getting over Big Jim being his daaaaaa quite quickly!)

You can see Daniel already appraising Jodie as his next mother for Bertie - that man never goes more than a week without a girlfriend . His laying on the sofa under a blanket feeling sorry for himself after rushing into another romance at full speed will not hold him back for long !
Sam hallucinating- I suppose a breakdown caused by the amount of stress and trauma that boy has suffered ?

eggandonion · 14/05/2026 22:51

I assume that's sineads special blanket. Bertie doesn't need the awful Jodie in his life.
I hope she doesn't take control of the kiddy closet.

bizzey · 14/05/2026 22:59

Bertie has had so many 'new ' mummies by now ..he won't even remember who his real one is ! (We are struggling !)

Why are all these universities in America that want Summer and not in UK? What does she even study? I must be in the minority but I just wanna punch Sam he grinds my gears! Jodie will be wearing Sinead’s cardigan and babysitting the mysterious never seen Bertie! Daniel’s food must be running out by now since he hasn’t been to corner shop or Freshco’s in a week

SabreIsMyFave · 14/05/2026 23:14

Also @Empress13 why does no-one ever mention Summer's diabetes anymore?!

OP posts:
eggandonion · 14/05/2026 23:40

Summer must have a part in a play coming up? Or some reality thing.

Could be either or neither. Like a PP I get hallucinations and don't have either condition (that I know of). Could be something else, lots of things can cause it.

Retireornot · 14/05/2026 23:49

I am thinking that Sam has developed psychosis.

eggandonion · 14/05/2026 23:54

Is he still taking the drugs he had a few weeks ago ?

HaddyAbrams · 15/05/2026 00:03

I agree. It's drug induced psychosis IMO.

Has anyone else noticed that the pints of milk that occasionally appear are from Booths?

Whenever someone is making a brew, or around the breakfast table.

They supposedly get them from Dev's shop, but I recognise the Booths label.

Booths is right next door to the Granada Studios at Media City.

I bet someone (a runner) nips out to Booths for a pint of milk whenever one is needed for a scene.

And! WHY doesn't anyone ever put the milk back into the fridge after using it?

It really grinds my gears when I see them just leave milk (and orange juice) just left on the worktop after use.

Anyone else agree?

Wonder what has happened to Carl? Not been seen on screen for a while.
Is he still a patient in Weathy General?

eggandonion · 15/05/2026 07:25

I was wondering what had happened to Carl...Debbie was offering words of wisdom to poorly looking Mrs Doyle. My brain would be less challenged if the family was the Doyle family. Also...Ben and Finn would be more suitable names for the younger family members. Based on my massive Belfast inlaws Mrs Doyle would have kids called things like Dan Kevin John Brian and Mark.

FrankieMcGrath · 15/05/2026 07:59

That’s very true about the names @eggandonion!

JewelleryCat · 15/05/2026 08:24

Didn’t Megan record Ma Driscoll and Melanie’s conversation about Ma pushing the guy down the stairs? Maybe that’s what she meant by proof?

Yes and wouldn’t they buy a larger amount if it was a family.

my milk would be in a jug at the table anyway 😀

It is so bizarre they way they drop these huge plot points - "sit down son. Yeh by the way Jim McDonald is yer dad, and I may have killed Not Dad, I'm not really sure".

She was not from Belfast. She just moved there from Galway when she got married at 18 because obviously in the seventies loads of Irish Catholics from the south wanted to move there and then she had an affair with a soldier in the British army.
