Oh damn you lot, I have been doing such a good job of staying off here and now you lure me back in with a thread like this.

Yes to Trevor Eve, certainly, but why do we think the BBC made this other bloke wear tight jumpers? They might have been pleading with him to wear a floppy check short mightn't they?

WideWebWitch · 21/06/2008 17:57

Pruners, yes, true. He is actorly. And nothing wrong with that really, (My dad was sometimes an Ac Tor) I just didn't like him as much as I thought I would fancying wise. Although I realise he didn't appear just for my delectation!

I used to have a big thing for Steve Martin. SOmething about a man with greying nhair and a sense of humour IMO

Tamum · 21/06/2008 18:05

Oh yes, I'm sure you're right- it was just a bit of tongue in cheek speculation really

I know just what you mean about Philip Glenister too, www. I have also always been struck by how very much more attractive Dr Doug Ross was than George Clooney, although he gets lots more points for being left wing and making black and white movies.

I don't believe a word of it la la la

You can borrow it if you like- I have the whole set of DVDs of series 1

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 18:09

Oh yes - Gene Hunt is much sexier than Philip Glenister, in the same way that Sharpe is much sexier than Sean Bean.

WideWebWitch · 21/06/2008 18:09

I am saddo, look:

Fancy Dr Who but not David Tenant, so it's Timelords
Fancy Gene Hunt not PG, so it's dodgy 70's coppers
Fancy Prime Minister but not Anthony Head, so it's erm, the PM
Fancy Bond, not Pierce Brosnan, so it's spies.

How embarrassing!

I know, I know, I have a thing about power and men who seem capable and can sort things out. Dh knows this.

Tamum · 21/06/2008 18:13

Yes of course- any time (the rest of my collection is not that impressive, I have to say.

Ah now David Tennant I do fancy not as Dr Who too, because although Dr Who is more attractive, DT has a Scottish accent.

I'm just thinking that the man in his 40s who I most fancy (and have done since he was in Cracker) is Christopher Eccleston - he was Dr Who too and wore a v necked jumper...so where does that leave me

I think he'd be smooth somehow !

SorenLorensen · 21/06/2008 19:47

Oh Tamum...and you were doing so well too (and I haven't posted for weeks but if you've caved, then I can too...and nobody even missed me...not one of you...not one person noticed I was not here...in fact, I may flounce now )

turquoise · 21/06/2008 19:48

Christopher Eccleston is so terribly ernest and thespian, sadly Trevor Eve (hot) is similar - bloody good actors but humourless and taking themselves so so seriously = v unattractive.

Whereas Anthony Head, less attractive, quite crappy actor, but a good larf and easy going (coffee ads after all) beats them hands down imo

SorenLorensen · 21/06/2008 19:49

Anthony Head has definitely turned the corner btw - he was fanciable in Buffy but it's all gone to seed since then.

turquoise · 21/06/2008 19:49

I think I mean earnest. Oscar Wilde has confused me.

SorenLorensen · 21/06/2008 19:49

I'd do David Tennant though.

turquoise · 21/06/2008 19:51

Soren - I was actually wondering where you were this very day! Someone - Expat I think - was singing your praises on another thread and saying 'whatever you've namechanged to now' and i was thinking, yes - what has she namechanged to, I haven't seen her about.
