Eddie is such a good actor as you just hate him. A sign his doing it right.

I wondered if the bag snatcher is going to be a regular character as she seemed somehow conspicuous. Perhaps Nicola’s sister?

Was Nicola’s sister called Gemma ? Yep, she’ll find the holdall that Nicola has casually put to one side and she’ll be the one with a ‘ low six figure’ sum of money! The club will be sold on , the restaurant shut down and Gemma will go and buy a Range Rover Evoque.

I thought that too!

My theory was that Josh paid the woman to 'pretend' to steal his bag and make him look good for some weird reason by snatching it back from her.

It was all very weird, the way Josh gave her money in the Albert.

The scene with the woman thief did seem very contrived. But I can’t think of any reason Josh would have to fabricate something just to show himself in a positive light, everyone already thinks well of him. I think Jasmine is growing increasingly jealous of his golden boy status. She already fuming at the way Patrick dotes on him. It’s not going to end well.

Jadmine is definitely going flip out at both Oscar and Josh at some stage. She has a bad side to her.

I think they did the bag snatcher on purpose to highlight the chalk and cheese of Jasmine and Josh. It came across like they think the viewers are thick

They did so well with Nigel and the few episodes towards the end and since Grant arrived ..but now it's gone down hill again.
I can't take to jasmine ,or Bea ..I just mentally switch of ,or go on my phone when they are on screen.
Bea is taking honey and Billy down with her ..as it's just frustrating watching her play them

Eddie is a master class of acting.

That's a good thought. It was really clunkily done but today they really emphasised Jasmine's aggressive "I can look after myself" nature versus Josh.

They are also really hammering home how marvellous and hilarious Jasmine and Oscar are together. 🙄 Obviously Jasmine is going to find out about Josh and Oscar and the shit will hit the fan.

Yes, he makes me very uncomfortable. He's very good indeed. The good ones really do stand out.

I think they’re doing a really awful job at portraying the “happy” relationship.. I felt the same about Gina and Harry when they were all laughs and giggles around Pennys forgotten realisation of potential paternity. It feels like they try and force on us that the relationships are so happy and perfect before they explode but.. it doesn’t sit right.

Yesterday’s episode was poorly written, poorly filmed and poorly edited. It felt like we were quite literally all over the place.

Jasmine isn’t funny and Oscar’s character that we love so much is being ruined. Josh feels wrong. Maybe that’s down to casting.

I really want Sam to stay.

Have to agree with pp about Jasmine and Oscar. It's so OTT and extreme the way she keeps jumping into his arms with her legs wrapped around him. I mean ffs. He is far too tall for her petite frame. It just looks wrong!

The writers could show a happy couple much more subtly than they do. Maybe Oscar buying her a small bunch of flowers or a drink, just acting normal. It’s always so false and over the top isn’t it.
I hate the legs wrapped around as well , when it happens at the end of ‘ love actually ‘ with the PM it made me cringe too. Nobody I know does this!

I agree Jasmine and Oscar are being very very over-done.

And I agree Jasmine is ruining Oscar. I hope she finds out about Josh soon (although we will have to watch her 'acting' her way through that) so all this adorable hilarity stops.

At the moment what the writers seem best at is producing couples that do not work together at all.

I do like Josh though.

I would like Sam to stay. It will be quite odd if she leaves when her new best mate Denise is diagnosed with an illness she could help her through.

I was cringing when watching today’s episode in the ‘kids from Fame’ scene with Jasmine and Josh. Oscar / Pierre looked totally fed up, probably counting down the days when his contract is up next year and he leaves them all to it (Pierre I mean).

🤣 you're right, however we were supposed to believe he was looking at them both lovingly

The gang land stories are so 90s. People like Delaney would have retired years ago and it would be the son or daughter of Delaney showing up for the debts whilst he was sunning himself in the costas.

I also got the impression that Oscar/Pierre isn’t enjoying enjoying the Jasmine scenes but I can’t work out if it’s the character or the actor who is hating it.

It's very odd actually
In all the years I have watched EE ..from day one
This is the first time I have felt two characters simply don't fit in ..
Jasmine and Bea ..
I always accept the character eventually
But these two ..it just feels like EE is just casting anyone ,and not giving a shit if they fit in.
Also ,I've not taken to josh either ..all that fuss over Zoe finding him ,and he's more concerned with Patrick than his real mum ..and where is he supposed to be living,his adopted mum has just moved away without him.

Also can't warm to Josh as he seems to be trying too hard all the time. Is he living with Patrick et al?

Isn't he in the bnb, although we never see him there.

Im not invested at all in anything to do with jasmine ,Bea or josh.
They are ruining oscar putting him with weak actors .
But I'm loving having Sam in it and grant in it .
I think they could do great things with Sam if they use a bit of imagination

I hope that Oscar makes a move on Josh soon and is found out and Jasmine can return to where she came from.
Wrap it all up fairly quickly.
