Time for my annual Nashville rewatch - any other fans?

It’s time for my annual Nashville rewatch (on my 6th or 7th go). Any other Nashville fans around?

Some questions

Favourite character? - mine is Avery Barkley

Worst character? - Scarlett after she has a personality shift and starts randomly accusing Gunnar of all sorts. It’s like there’s a whole load of plot missing.

Do you fast forward through any storylines? I skip through Juliette’s Gospel singing and her cult storyline. Both too tedious.

Favourite songs - tricky. Probably Fade Into You, Saved (controversial?), Wrong Song and Good Rain & Jesus.

Is there a tv show with a higher count of appalling or missing mothers? Not that I have watched.

I may be talking to myself as I know no-one in rl who has even watched Nashville.

Deacon 🥰 I saw the cast play in London this year.

Me 🙋🏻‍♀️. I’m on my Nth rewatch. I love the music so much. My favourite character is probably Juliet. She’s so outrageous it’s hilarious. I do wish they let her be happy for a bit longer though. Worst was Lamarr. Very glad they got rid of him. Love all the songs from seasons 1-3. I still haven’t watched the final series though because it’s so bad by then I can’t bring myself to self to carry on.

I have also seen the live show and a tribute band. You are not alone!

Song wise I really liked - Undermine and if I didn’t know better!

Least favourite character- Scarlett - so annoying!!

Overall though loved the show but thought it went so downhill at the end whereas the first couple of seasons were excellent!

Sabrina Carpenter kind of reminds me of Juliette - I like to think backstage she is snarling at everyone 🤭

I mostly love Juliette (except certain storylines see above). She’s much more endearing and relatable than Raynor who is A Bit Much.

I love a tribute band, didn’t realise there were Nashville tributes. Will be looking out for one!

On Amazon Prime. I had to buy the series, they weren’t free with the subscription but I think I’ve got my money’s worth …

I don’t think there were any duets of Scarlett and Avery were there? Shame

It really did go downhill. Plots and characters seemed to get randomly shoehorned in to the later series.

I still fight on to the bitter end though (with fast forwarding when it gets too much).

I like Avery too - he has great character development! and Deacon!

I like them together. One of my favourite scenes is where Avery is helping Deacon rehearse without his guitar after the (first) car crash when Deacon can’t work out what to do with his hands.

It’s free on ITVX at the moment. But loads of adverts so it’s probably money well spent.

I loved Nashville, went to see them twice when they did shows here! Haven’t done a rewatch yet though, might have to add it to the list!

What are the shows like? They’re not in character are they?
