Iirc, Chantelle died by falling onto the dishwasher, and it was classed as a tragic accident. It was a long time before Gray was suspected of any wrongdoing

Gray was already being abusive to Chantelle , then had argument and pushed her backwards onto open dish washer that had the knives stacked upwards.

He then placed a small toy train with wheels near her ....and went to the mini Mart to get milk !

Nobody knew about Chantelle. Even after she died they were consoling Gray and Karen took the children under her wing. Someone at the hospital once saw her with a bruise snd tried to help , but he always won her round :(
