A Place to Call Home - are all series, all 6 series, really necessary?

following recommendations on here am watching A Place to Call Home
it is so addictive
cannot stop watching.
always leaves on a cliff hanger
but do i absolutely have to finish?
have just finished series 3

Of course you have to finish, I have watched it twice, it is also one of the few series with a good ending

I didn't love season 6 as much as the rest.

just series 6 is not so good?
but i love a good ending

I thought the ending was terrible, having at the beginning thought the series was really interesting.

But is sorted of strayed into not just being an interesting storyline with a wide range of characters but sort of preachy,

I never looked into but wondered if over the 6 series they had got in different writers, or the Directors had changed.

Sanctimonious slop ending.
