I warmed to Bec on the After show. She was quite humble and genuinely mortified by her behaviour.

They really ought to limit the amount of alcohol on MAFS. It’s getting tiresome watching drunken idiots making fools of themselves.

I only started watching Mafs Au two years ago and someone on here told me they'd really toned down the access to booze and that earlier series were much more alcohol fueled.

They did tone down the access to booze or it was said they did. Even so doesn’t stop drug taking.

There's not a lot of word slurring (although Danny did seem pretty battered last week) so I think there's a good chance there are other substances at play.

I feel sorry for Sam, I think he is goi g to feel totally blindsided by his partner. Usually people say at the wedding if they have a child already.

I wonder if Sam was asked if he wanted someone with kids. I guess technically they could have matched him with this partner anyway, because technically he doesn't have any children yet!

No but he could have pulled aside / gone outside and said cool it, let’s show a united front quietly etc

Exactly if he cared for her he wouldn’t have let her carry on screaming like a banshee and making a fool of herself.

I think Chris has done a very silly thing by arranging the baby and MAFS to coincide. Even if I wanted chn, I’d want it in good time and to do it together.

Not sure if it was the UK version but they had started using gold metal ‘glasses’ so you couldn’t see the drinks and I wondered if it was because they were serving water. But def not this time. It’s irresponsible really.

You only have to look at the bar to see that isn’t the case.

Watching Bec at the latest dinner party- she’s not very well is she. She looks very unwell to me ( as someone who has pretty awful mental health problems)

That’s what struck me. I can’t even dislike her, she just strikes me as someone who is very unwell. Her emotions are intense, lots of anger just below the surface that drink brings out, and also a lack of judgment about her own actions.

I felt so sad that she was impressed by that floor picnic that was served up to her.

I think the producers tell others not to intervene, it didn’t seem normal everyone else just stood by and watched.

The cracks are starting to show now between Alissa and David - Bec said she left last week end to go home and today David couldn’t put his arm around her as they walked off!

I thought they seemed united. They said they would leave if it kicked off again.

I think that's a continuity thing - so they can edit scenes to make a story without viewers clocking that events couldn't have played out in that order.

Villanousvillans · 04/04/2026 09:53

The booze seems very freely available both before dinner, at the bar and with plenty of wine on the table.

Well that went to hell in this series! These ozzies love their red wine don’t they? Could never drink that all night.

Even if the producers did guide her to stirring things up a bit, the actual delivery was all Bec’s doing….. the screaming and yelling. The finger pointing at Filip etc.

And the invading peoples personal space, getting too close to faces or physically pushing herself into conversations- I can’t stand that.

On the Aftershow last week, they said the producers arent in the dining room with them, just camera crew

SaulHudsonDavidJones · 04/04/2026 16:34

I’m behind episodes sorry but I really need to get this out there. Producers should not have put Tyson on TV. Disgusting misogynists should not be given air time. There is a rise in Neanderthal males pushing the anti-women agenda and the producers are complicit in feeding this.

Even though I find his views abhorrent, I disagree with this. We can't just have people that we 'agree with' on tv. It's like no-platforming or other forms of shutting views down that we don't like.

Far healthier to allow everyone to speak their minds, share their views and take the critique, criticism and questions that come their way - otherwise everyone in reality tv just lives in an echo chamber.

Genuinely torn on this. Tyson is a disgrace (and nowhere near as intelligent as he thinks he is) but although normally I would agree there has to be balance around what's shown in the media (otherwise we'd just become like, well, certain other countries) I think toxic masculinity is such a huge problem at the moment that it's really not helpful to give it a platform on a show that's so widely viewed. I don't necessary think that the media need to always strike an equal balance of views - personally I think they have some responsibility for social mores as well. I hate the thought of impressionable boys/young men thinking 'hey, that Tyson guy seems sound, I wouldn't mind being like him.' We've got enough of an issue in society atm with toxic masculinity, imo, without fanning the flames.

RobynRB · 04/04/2026 18:07

I dunno. I think Stephanie is doing a pretty good job of showing him up to be honest. Hopefully the experts will give him some grief as well...

He’s definitely digging his own grave atm!

Twonewcats · 04/04/2026 18:44

Tyson should be on, if only to show viewers how ridiculous that mindset is.
Ditto Louis Theroux showing them up.

Calabasas · 04/04/2026 19:14

I am enjoying watching Stephanie exposing Military Tate’s stupidity in all its pathetic glory. Just another Neanderthal nazi who thinks he’s the superior kind. I actually think it’s quite healthy he’s been given a “platform” if only to reinforce what a toxic little specimen he & his like are. Educational lol.
