Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Grin Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever. Grin

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

Phew.......

Sorry if I have left anything out!!!!!!! 😬

I don't see how Theo can be held to account for Billy's murder, so he should be the one to die surely. Hard to believe that his cruel side was never picked up on by his wife and kids, unless he just kept it for his gay relationships of course.

My DM would describe Todd as 'a wet week's washing'.

Shellingbynight · 30/03/2026 15:08

@Andepeda I like that saying 😆
Gareth Pierce has played it well, that's the best I can say about it.

I guess Theo can be held to account for his treatment of Todd because the film still exists and could be shown to the police. But he couldn't pay for Billy's death except with his own. I think he will die.

I think he did keep the abuse for his gay relationships because he hates himself for being gay so his partners 'pay' for it.

Gingercar · 30/03/2026 15:14

I am enjoying (weird thing to write!) the Todd and Theo storyline too. As long as it doesn’t result in Todd being chased onto a burning roof like the Geoff/Yasmine episode!
The Bernie storyline is stupid.

FrankieMcGrath · 30/03/2026 13:22

Thanks! I remember her now but not Gary being involved in her death?!

Something to do with the crappy work he did on the factory roof I think?

JohnBullshit · 30/03/2026 15:24

Just realised there's football again tomorrow. Tell me I'm dreaming. FFS.

No idea if he abused Danielle but plenty of hints that he expected Danielle to be the the little woman as that is the way he treats Todd

That’s ringing a bell, thanks!

AmusedMaker · 30/03/2026 15:40

The Todd/ Theo storyline is a very difficult watch a lot of the time as Theo is very convincing as an abuser & Todd is literally having the life sucked out of him in front of our eyes.
I guess like any other abusive relationship the abuser is sometimes lovely ( like Theo can be ) and that’s what keeps the victim under their control. Trey think it might always be like that. Plus Todd probably feels embarrassed to admit he’s being abused, ( if he even thinks he is? ) abusive relationships are so complex.

Shellingbynight · 30/03/2026 17:01

It would be interesting to find out how he did treat Danielle, but she appeared to be extremely stroppy and didn't seem scared of him.

When is Theo lovely? Even at the wedding he was having digs at Todd. He says one nice thing then sh1ts all over it. Poor Todd.

The plot is all over the shop. Things happen, then are forgotten. There was the filming, Theo getting Todd sacked, Theo trying to isolate him from friends, Theo removing his access to money. But all those things were reversed. So none of it went anywhere. And nobody (except Billy) ever questioned what was going on, despite Todd turning up with injuries and looking terrified and exhausted.

I think we came to the conclusion that unconciously Theo hates himself for being gay.
When he was with Danielle he was masking in his marriage and he kept his true self hidden , the marriage gave him what he thought of as respectability in the eyes of the church

Abusers hate themselves but cant bear the feelings and it is out of kilter with the image they want to project so they project it onto others to relieve how they feel.
In their heads they twist everything to maintain that the abused person deserves it.

eggandonion · 30/03/2026 18:27

Theo is all charm and sweetness to everyone except Carl...there have been several women murdered in Ireland recently by apparent pillars of the community.

Gingercar · 30/03/2026 19:09

My only frustration is that Todd had confessed that Billy that he was being abused once Billy found out. Why is he now denying it to others? I think Summer needs to bring Billy up more “Billy would want you safe/be really worried about you…”

Shellingbynight · 30/03/2026 20:11

@FuckaboutFindout yes I said the same earlier. That bit makes sense, but a lot of other stuff about the plot doesn't.

JewelleryCat · 30/03/2026 20:42

George is lovely

That's what I don't understand. What was the point of Todd recording their interactions? That plot is gone now since everything was deleted.

zanahoria · 30/03/2026 21:08

JewelleryCat · 30/03/2026 20:42

George is lovely

He is but leaving the escape bag where Theo can find it was not the smartest idea

Shellingbynight · 30/03/2026 21:09

It wasn't all deleted though was it? Billy found the original recordings on the laptop and played them back to Todd. Then Billy died and Todd had amnesia about it.

George is well meaning but an idiot, he is putting Todd at huge risk by giving him an 'escape bag'. Theo will inevitably find it and give him a beating. And he doesn't even need an escape bag, he could walk across to road to George or Gary or Sarah.

So Megan spent the last two episodes denying she had anything to do with Will, and now she reckons his family will accept her and the baby. So she's effectively admitting she's been shagging him and will be sacked from her job (at the least).

FieryA · 30/03/2026 21:20

I am curious as to why none of the children ever change out of their uniforms after school. They just hang about, eat their meals, everything without changing into casual clothes. How odd!

DreamyJade · 30/03/2026 21:22

Remember the scene where Carl overheard Theo begging dead Billy for forgiveness in the undertaker’s? I’m hoping that he’ll be brought to justice for killing Billy rather than killed off. The worst baddies always get killed off in Corrie.

My son who is 13 does this - drives me mad but the most I can do is get him to take his tie off when he gets home. He’ll then shower late at night (9pm or so) & put pyjamas on!

nopenotplaying · 30/03/2026 21:26

I have a couple of theories (not spoilers just my thoughts:

The baby vest with Driscoll on it will be found and that will lead to a will confession

Steve and Ben are half brothers, that’s why ma isn’t keen on her grandson dating Amy. clue is in the heart condition and happenings at Jim’s wake

nopenotplaying · 30/03/2026 21:28

Oh and Christina is a fraudster, she also needs a new coat - that one should suit Bernie better 🤣

I'd forgotten about this! Carl hearing Theo at Billy's coffin, and 'kind of' confessing... Not sure where Carl can go with it though, or how he can prove it.

Also agree that if Megan wants Will's family to accept the baby, she will have to admit she's guilty. Not thinking that through is she?!

Agree also that the escape bag George has left for Todd could easily be found by Theo.

I wonder why Tim is suddenly realising that Trisha was a wrong 'un. He claims it's because of Will, but I would have thought he should have realised it before now!

I hate seeing Debbie in prison. 😢I have warmed to Lou quite a bit though...

Also really disliking the weird Bernie and Mal storyline. Dev's a saint. No other man would have put up with the crap he's had to tolerate from Bernie.

My DC never changed out of their uniforms. Neither did I unless I was going somewhere else after
