Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever.

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

Lou is morphing into Debbie’s new BFF - and probably her carer if her dementia gets worse.

Will is morphing into Simon! Looks more like him in every episode.

Cassie and Lou could set up a home care agency.

I can't help thinking that Will probably smells of sweaty feet, school gym and Lynx.

He kept his socks on for his birthday bonk.

There is so much plot, half of which never goes anywhere, it's hard to remember it all!

That made me smile 😁 and it's probably accurate. He's the most miserable faced lad and while he's currently got little to smile about he seems to have no personality or humour even when Megan is around.
What does she see in him?

I think this is part of the problem with this plot, they never showed them getting together and they are never seen together apart from chats in the ginnel.

Ben is the latest earwigger working in the cafe/pub.

Not only did he butt into a conversation but Sal offered up all the details of Tim's past.

She keeps telling him to face up to things in his past but not sure how spreading it around the pub helps.

I think the schoolkids stay in their uniform to remind us how young they are, because they are usually played by actors who are a little older irl. If Will had been sitting in the pub eating his crisps in casual clothes he wouldn't pass for 16 imo, and Tim wouldn't have had his epiphany.

The actor who plays Will is only 17, and I don't think he looks older?

He might look older if he wore different clothes, plus he has the sort of haircut that you rarely see on anyone over the age of about sixteen

So, do we think there was a baby or not?

Some good story lines evolving tonight, grooming of both Will and Tim, Ma’s threatening scowl, George’s court appearance, Bethany’s suspicions of Jodie and MadMel skulking in the background. All coming together I guess for ‘the’ murder!

Plus the progressive dementia of Debbie, so sad to see her mood swings and paranoia beginning.

I think Megan was pregnant but has now had an abortion.
Maggie certainly showed her who is the matriarch!
Still no idea where the Jodie story may go. Not seen enough so far for anyone to want to harm her.
Found Mal watching Bernie and Dev from the Kabin to be very menacing. He is acting well in this role.
And where are Carl, Abbie and Kev? Not been seen for ages.

Debbie would be in the hospital wing, surely?

Debbie's story shows why someone with dementia should not be in prison. Aside from her own wellbeing, she will cause absolute chaos with her paranoia.

Was there ever a baby - I am really not sure. Megan never looked pregnant and barely referred to the baby. And if she'd just had a miscarriage she managed to leap out of hospital pretty quick to meet Will. Maybe that is why she refused a DNA test, because there wasn't a baby to start with.

Since when is Dev such a pushover? He is looking very handsome lately. Meanwhile Bernie looks like a bag of laundry.

I normally can’t stand Bethany but at least she can see through Jodie.

I can’t even go there with George and his court case, which would never be happening.

I also wonder if Megan used Ma Driscoll's shove as a cover up for an abortion. She knew the baby would be proof of her guilt so an abortion covered up by being "assaulted" could work!
