Happy Easter (2026) Corrie fans! :) CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever.

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

I don't tune into The Archers every night but when I heard him back from outer space 💃wherever he is a few weeks back I was willing Fallon to dump him because of Todd. I didn't mind him before, although he was starting to get a bit annoying before he left.

How did Sam get the role? I thought his father didn’t join Corrie until a year or two after Sam? Maybe Sam got his dad a job lol.

The nasty/ nice bad/ good causes alternating rushes of cortisol and dopamine in the brain
It destabilises and weakens the persons defences and boundaries and the rush of dopamine/ relief is addictive , the brain gets hooked on this " exciting" dynamic and its common to find normal, stable relationships boring
This is particularly true if the person involved has a history of ACE or Trauma , it replicates the childhood norm and the patterns are repeated unconciously time and time again in adult relationships
So its not as easy as what is Todd still with him for

If you drop a frog in hot water it will jump straight out but if its in cold water gradually heated it wont realise
Abusers are remarkably astute and devious in gradually drawing a partner in

I still can’t decide who is going to cop it. Summer is looking murderously at Carl, who has just put the seed in her head that will probably lead to her somehow finding out about Theo.
Todd might have to bump Theo off to avoid going to Ireland.

I thought the dance scene with Carl and Debbie was beautifully done. Carl may genuinely be remorseful about what he’s done to Debbie. He may be one of those characters who turns good. He does have a charm about him.

No redemption for Theo. He either has to leave or be killed off.

When Todd asked Theo what he was going to do to him it really got me in the feeling.

Or Theo might go after Sarah-Lou
Gary might pulverise Theo love Gary the hard man 😉

Ooooh what if Theo was violent to Danielle and she takes her revenge?

Urgh, now Ronnie is backing off from Carl because he makes Debbie happy.
It was quite sweet watching Debbie and Carl dancing though. I love Debbie so much, I really wish they hadn't given her this illness.

Summer has Carl's number - but is she going to doubt his involvment in Billy's death now Carl had a 'word' with her?

I still can't understand how and why George is selling the funeral parlour business already, after a few cancelled bookings. And why oh WHY did he not refuse the £10,000 inheritance?!

How annoying that Danielle didn't have any stories of Theo being abusive. And as for Theo taking Todd away now? We all know Theo doesn't really have a job in Northern Ireland. I wish Gary would off him LOL.

Oh no, Roy has a little tickle in his throat (a cough.) I hope this isn't the start of something bad happening to him.

Hopefully Sam is going to start getting back to normal, after playing chess with Roy. This is Corrie though, so that's very unlikely. 😬

I know Jude O'Riorden's dad Paul joined Corrie a year after Jude did, but it's a bit of a coincidence that Jude's dad is a TV producer and he got a job in TV! (As I say nepotism. IMO.....) As I said earlier though, whilst I thought he was a bit lame to start with, he is growing on me now.

It’s like all the cast are on a big revolving stage, and only have storylines when they’re on the front side. In reality Sarah would be discussing all this with Kit.

They need to get back to Canal street and find Theo’s gay ex that told Todd to get as faraway from Theo as he could and that he’d been a monster with him.

I know right @Gingercar it's odd how some characters are not in the show for 2-3 weeks when they're not in the storyline for a bit... Where's Abi for instance?

The actor who plays Theo can’t be particularly nice in real life either - as he has a conviction for GBH in which he fractured a man’s eye socket in a club . So maybe not too much acting required.

It seemed like Carl knows that Theo strapped Billy into the car. How does he know that?

He overheard Theo telling Billy in his coffin at the undertakers that he was sorry for what he had done

Ive seen interviews with him and he comes across exactly as Theo does- cocky twat

I watched behind the scenes footage of Carl/Debbies’s dance sequence. It was really funny as Carl was supposed to be ‘leading’ Debbie and showing comfort/control. But in real life, actress Debbie is a really good dancer and actor Carl has no idea! The choreographer had to keep stop Debbie taking the lead 😜

”Ben” lives a few streets away from me!!

It very much looks like it, which I'm quite sad about. Both actresses imo looked far better beforehand.
